Bright lights streamed onto my face. I felt something move in my rib. I screamed in pain. Something was cutting my rib. ‘STOP!!’ A man yelled. Alarms were screeching, all I cared about was the pain, and Amelia! ‘She’s awake we need to give her some anaesthesia’ I felt a sharp pain in my right arm. Everything went black. Then I awoke, and I saw Mom, Dad and Amelia sat in the car talking. This didn’t make sense. I was shot? How come I am in the car? My parents are both dead? I began to cry. ‘Katie what’s the matter’ Amelia said, in Josh’s voice. I was suddenly sucked into a whirl pool. I was led on the ground. I got up, the sky was pink, and the grass was blue. I walked and walked, that’s when I fell. Into a deep, dark hole in the ground.  That is when I was slammed on my kitchen table again by ben. He was going to rape me again. I couldn’t take it. I screamed to make him let go of me. I crashed onto the floor and Amelia was laying there stone cold with blood spread all over her face. ‘AMELIA!’ I screamed as I ran too her. This couldn’t be happening. I continued to scream until someone touched my shoulder and then I was then stood on the side of the road, looking and me and ben. Ben had the gun in his hand pointing at me and then Josh came running out. Everything that was happening sped up until everything that happened that night, was all spinning around me. BOOM! Darkness. I could hear voices. ‘Nurse, I don’t know when or if she will wake up. What Do I tell Mr Hutcherson and the little girl’ THE LITTLE GIRL!! AMELIA! I tried to open my eyes and tell them I was awake and that I was fine but I couldn’t. I tried screaming that didn’t work. ‘Doctor sir, I am sure she will wake up, there is no reason for her not to?’ She said. ‘Is there?’ She asked. ‘Nurse we aren’t sure how critical her condition is, it might be life threatening.’ That’s when it all went silent. ‘What’s wrong with Katie?’ I heard Amelia ask. ‘Oh yeah. Well Amelia, Katie isn’t very well at the moment. That’s why she is in the hospital, so she can get better’ Josh said back. He was perfect, I can’t believe I forgot who he was and everything about us. ‘JOSH!’ I tried screaming but my mouth wouldn’t allow the words to flow out. ‘Is she going to go to Heaven like mummy and daddy did?’ Amelia’s words faded as the blackness turned into a bright white light.‘AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!’ I screamed , sitting bolt upright in my bed. What was I doing. I couldn’t control myself. I was breathing heavily and fast. ‘JOSH!!!! AMELIA!!!’ I screamed. Finally my words came out.‘AHHHH!!’ Doctors ran in and injected something in my arm. Everything went black again. I felt something touch my hand, I flinched. They touched my hand again and yet again I flinched. I started to open my eyes.‘Connor, Connor!!’ Amelia yelled. ‘Connor look Katie’s waking up from her sleep.’ I heard footsteps. ‘Oh yeah Amelia she is.’ A hand reached over me and pressed a button by my head and automatically a nurse ran in. ‘Yes?’ She asked. ‘She’s wake!’ Amelia screamed ‘She’s Awake’ Now I could see everything. A girl with brown hair was stood on the right side of my bed and Connor and Amelia on the left. Josh was nowhere to be seen. ‘JOSH!’ I yelled. I started to panic and my breathing sped up. ‘Breathe Katie Breathe, Josh has just gone to the toilet. He will be back in a second.’ The nurse said. She was right, as soon as she finished her sentence Josh walked in. ‘KATIE!’ He screamed as he ran to me. He hugged me and I hugged him back. He pulled away and looked at me. That’s when we kissed. Our first kiss in 2 years.
