Jade and I reached the venue of the marquee bar party, on Jade's bike. We got off her bike, staring in wonder at what looked like a one-floor glass house with a glass gable and soft, dim orange and yellow lights lighting up the space with various people in 'formal and fancy' or 'edgy and cool wear', talking inside.
Opulent.I exhaled as I looked at my own, pretty edgy outfit- from the black crop top to the black combat heeled boots.
Jade had dragged me to her roommate and girlfriend, Angie, an aspiring fashion designer, to pick out our clothes for the party. The two had dragged my ass to the nearest mall next to get what I was currently wearing, and though these clothes had lightened my wallet considerably, I was thankful to them, to be honest. As for the subject of winter, Angie picked out a huge, soft and white overcoat for me to wear above everything, and Jade ordered me to leave the overcoat on her bike once we would get to the party, saying the rest of our friends and she had attended Chase's winter parties before, and he always chose places with a nice heating system.
Basically.Jade herself had donned on these flared, navy satin trousers and a silky and fancy white-and navy striped crop top. With these, Angie told her to complete the look with a pair of white killer ankle-length boots and a navy chain purse. Jade's short, coiled black hair was styled in the form of a black blunt bob. She looked gorgeous.
God, are these Worthington High-attending kids rich. And sexy.
Once I'd got inside the party, I understood I must look pretty different, as even though I did look edgy, my style seemed laid back and sort of bawdy, as well.
That description fitted my persona, too. Sort of.My makeup, done by Angie and based on my requests just highlighted my best features with slightly heavy makeup. Winged black eyeliner, very light, black eyeshadow and 'magnetic mahogany' lipstick, with noticeable contours.
Just as Jade got herself busy greeting her numerous friends, Megan and Sally found me.
"Holy cow, girl. You're determined to get laid, are you not?" Sally remarked after the two of them had greeted me, as she pushed her black glasses up into her hair.
Her look was quite chic and formal, and she looked nothing short of a model in her light blue, floral bodycon dress, the sleeves reaching her wrists. The dress's color- the same as the glittery shade she'd had used to paint her nails- highlighted her shining blue eyes.
A shiny and wide black belt was strapped right below her chest, matching her black strappy heels and small sequin clutch. Her long orange-auburn hair was open and wavy, laying on her chest.
Her makeup was pretty cute and light, and her overall look screamed pretty innocence."That's accurate. Your stylish look stands out. You look pretty easygoing and sexy." Megan grinned, agreeing. She'd donned on this golden sheath dress with golden lace sleeves. Her hair was tied up in a messy ponytail. She wore a pair of sheer black stockings, matching the chunky black suede boots she'd chosen. Her makeup was heavy and gold-and-black themed. She held a golden clutch in her hand. Her nails were painted a gorgeous dark gold, and numerous golden rings sat on her thick fingers.
I chuckled. "Thank you. But I most definitely stand out. You two look like you could join some ramp walk right away, whereas I look like I'm here for some bonfire party and drinks." I chuckled. "All thanks to the courtesy of Jade and her girlfriend." I said, smiling.
Sally flipped her hair over her shoulder dramatically, chuckling at my comment. "Ah, I always look like a model now, don't I?" She giggled.
Megan chuckled, shaking her head. "What a compliment, Cris. Thanks! You tasted the Lemon Drops, by the way?"
