Chase's P.O.V.

"Okay, bruh are you kidding me right now?" Nick said.

I smirked. "Does it look like it?"

"Whatever you do is dumb and seems like a joke, believe me."

I lightly punched his arm. "Shut up. I'm serious."

"Why Amber? There are much more hotties around. I thought you want your Halloween party to look totally 'rich'?" Leon said.

"She's fine. I invited her for a reason. And that too a month back. I'm not changing my mind now."

"To sleep with her."

"I'm not sure about that yet," I smirked.

"If you've invited Amber, you must have invited her, too right?" Logan asked, his cheeks kinda pink. Of course. He was talking about Juliette Carmen. His crush since the beginning of the year.

I rolled my eyes. "What are you, whipped? You two players should be perfect with each other."

"You're one too, douchebag."

"Unlike you, I don't gain feelings for every girl I bang."

"What are you, a Casanova?" Logan laughed.

"You discovered that now?" Justin piped in, looking up from his phone with a smirk on his face.

I rolled my eyes and smirked again when I saw Amber and her group approaching. Cris, too.
Seeing Cris, I started getting jitters, I fucking swear.

And I kinda let out a broken breath when I saw her going away. She brushed past me, and I inhaled the scent of citruses and roses.

She was ignoring me. Why had I fucked up that day?

The only reason I invited Amber and her friends to my Halloween party was because I wanted to see her too. I wanted to talk to her. Set stuff right between us.

Amber greeted me and I smiled.

I sighed. A month. A month since I'd last talked to her, felt her, liked her, grown those sparks. For her. And now, due to my fucked up attitude, she was probably not gonna be back. Out of all the girls, I wanted her. I didn't even know why.

Then I became friends with Amber, after that first meeting with Amber and Cris and the rest. To see her. Meet her. I wasn't crazy to get into her pants or some shit. So why go after her? She made me feel different. She was different. Simone.
That kiss with her really had me crazed. My heart constricted each time I thought about it, because it was honestly quite... memorable. It was as if that kiss was all that had me wanting to go after her, and if that was so, I would have to make sure to recheck my reigns.

I just knew I had to go after her... her body, I think.
I was a sucker for feelings, after all.

And no girl refused me so easily. Ever.

Her breath, her lips, her eyes, her jawline, her accent, her fragrance, her wit, goodness. She was a normal girl, maybe, but had the swagger of a seasoned player. Every element of hers held me in possession, even if I was merely staring at her.
It felt as if we'd known each other much longer than just one night.

"Earth to Chase," Nick whispered. I elbowed him. "Get out of my face." I said.

"Sooo, Chase," Amber smiled flirtatiously. You've any plans for Saturday?"

Okay, lemme get one thing clear: Amber isn't annoying or anything, but she's fuckin clingy. Ever since the start of the party at the start of the year, the day I met her. And Cris.

She likes to feel I've a thing for her. That perhaps I like her. But actually, I don't. It's starting to get annoying, though. So I hope she understands that I've done a number of stuff to friendzone her. But she doesn't get it. I'm not one fuckin crazy to pleasing everyone, whether they like me or not.
I don't like 'em, I need 'em off my face, I tell 'em.
I don't exactly give any shit.
So, yeah.

"Y'know, I've a hangout planned with some guys. Sorry, really."

Amber's face turned a little straighter, but she smiled. "Ohh, I see... no problem, hah..." She was nice, I guess. Most other girls would give an offended face and walk off with their asses high in the air.
Cmon, they know my reputation is one of a playboy's, why do they just come to me to get angry? Jeez.

To be nice too, I picked up her hand and placed a kiss upon it.
Man, did those cheeks turn into tomatoes.
She giggled, and then the bell rang. "Bye, Chase!"

Her friends chuckled along with her as I watched her walk away, while my friends hee-haw laughed like a group of delirious donkeys.
Actually, that's an insult to donkeys. Donkeys are adorable.
I rolled my eyes at them. "Shut it, guys."

I made my way to the class, and saw her, explaining some stuff to a guy from some paperwork, while casually smiling at some shit the guy kept saying. How I wanted to dump his face in a trashcan. How I wanted to be that guy.

God, who is Cris? I wondered.
And what was she doing to me?
