Mixed Minds - A Collection Of Poems

Red and white flower

Not long after, two peas united and introduced two flowers into their life.
One was white and the other was red.
Loving them dearly they sacrificed their life.
But only one mistake was what they made
"We love you more dearly white," they said as they gave him their shares
Was white superior among his fellow mates? Or was he something special?!
"He would support us when we rot "is what they always thought
Soon those little pretty flowers grew
They both grew pretty well, they said without noticing the difference that grew.
Someone had his colour changed!
But being parents, they didn't or maybe they didn't want to look at - how black White's petals were going
Time passed and White was now black
The white flower, who was 'the best, said " I feel ashamed of you" as he turned his face away from them
He refused to face his responsibilities and neither his dear rotten peas
Disappointment, anger and sadness were all they had left.
They said nothing and acted like everything was fine,
But deep inside, we know what pain was hiding under their smile.
Red was the only hope they now had got
She who was unnoticed in the whole story now came and became their only hope!
She was just an alternative, who now became their sole happiness.
"Red is even brighter than white ", the peas realized as they lay on the soil looking at the daughter who grew up so fine.
