11 gold miners were rescued in China after being trapped roughly 2,000 feet below ground for two weeks. It was relief to find the eleven as one miner already died but there are still ten more missing miners.

It took a while for the rescue to happen but the miners were able to communicate with those above ground through notes. My personal favorite part of the story, they asked for pickles and porridge while they waited to be rescued.
