Okay, so I'm really really sorry that I haven't updated this story in ages, and some of you wanted an update and I haven't been on here for a long time, so I thought I might as well update it now. I will try my best to upload quicker, but I'm not promising anything because I might forget haha. I had to re-read everything to remember what the story was even about, so I hope it isn't too bad. But, anyway, here is chapter 9, I hope you like it.

DAN
No matter what I do, I can't help but think back to yesterday. It was perfect. I'd like to think it was a date, but I don't want to rush things with her. Well, I say that, but I don't know if she likes me quite as much as I like her. I'd like to think she does, but you never know. Plus, I don't think I'm quite ready to declare my undying love for her just yet.
I feel like I should call her, but I don't want to seem obsessive. I probably seem obsessive already. I mean, the fact that Josh had to text her and tell her to reply to me because I was getting 'emotional' just says it all.
I feel that I need to do something to take her off of my mind.
But I don't want her to leave my mind.
ALANA
I haven't spoken to Dan since yesterday. I can't help but think that he has completely changed his mind about me since yesterday.
Maybe I was boring? I tried to say interesting things, but whenever I did, they always seemed to come out in the most uninteresting way possible. That could have easily put him off.
I've been holed up in my bedroom ever since I came home. I haven't spoken to anybody about yesterday aside from Frankie. Nobody in the house would care apart from Demi, but she's on a trip with her school.
Frankie and I talked it over for a long time. Of course, Frankie being Frankie, she over analysed everything I told her that he said.
'Wait, so, he told you that he likes to cook?'
'Yeah, so?'
'Lana, obviously he means that he wants you to go over to his house so that he can cook for you and then you'll kiss and fall in love and have little Flint babies.'
'Yeah, okay but-'
'And he also said that he's wearing new shoes?'
'Yeah but-'
'But, Alana, this means he's trying to impress you so that you will kiss him and then you'll fall in love and have little Flint babies.'
The conversation went a little bit like that. I decided not to tell her most of the things that went on because of this. She's so over-dramatic.
DAN
I think I might text her. You know, just to see how she is. I haven't spoken to her since yesterday, and I don't want her to think that I don't like her. It only seems right to do so.
'Hi :D How are you doing today?'
She didn't take long to reply at all.
'Hi there :') I'm very good thank you, and yourself?'
I love talking to her. It's not awkward at all, it flows nicely.
Until now.
What was I supposed to say next? I can't just say 'I'm fine' and then wait for her to carry on the conversation. Maybe I should invite her out. Possibly with the rest of the band too. And, she could bring her friend Frankie if she wanted too.
'I'm fine thank you :) Well, I was just wondering if you're busy on Saturday?'
ALANA
'I'm fine thank you :) Well, I was just wondering if you're busy on Saturday?'
It wouldn't matter if I was busy, I'm definitely not anymore.
'No I'm not, what did you have in mind? :D'
'Well, the rest of the boys are coming over to my place to hang and I was just wondering if you wanted to come? You can bring Frankie with you if you'd like, I'm sure they wouldn't mind? :3'
Well, seeing as though Frankie isn't so obsessed with Max anymore, that may actually be a good idea.
'Yeah, sure, that would be nice :)'
'Okay, well if you text me your address, I could pick you up if you like?'
'Sure, I'll give it to you now :3'
So I texted him my address. I really shouldn't have done that. He'll turn up at my door Saturday night, greeted by my joke of a father and that will be enough to turn him off me for eternity. Well, I suppose I have to face the day with him eventually.
No longer than five minutes later, I was greeted by a text from Josh.
'So, heard you and your mental mate are coming on Saturday. Decent. Will be nice to see you again :D'
This should be an interesting night.
