I was right. She came over almost straight away. She, in her own words, 'ran all the way and nearly got hit by a lorry, but that doesn't matter because this is more important'. I told her everything and we screamed, we cried and we screamed a little more. Eventually, my dad did come in to find out what was going on. No doubt he only came in because his sleep was interrupted.

'WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? I'm trying to sleep and all I can hear is you two screaming!'

Bingo.

'Look dad, me and Frankie are going out in a few days. We have money and you won't have to worry about me'. Like he'd care anyway.

'Well, as long as I don't have to pay for anything, you can stay away for as long as you like'. What sort of a man is he? I could be gone for months and he probably wouldn't even remember I was gone. Maybe I will stay away for a while. Just to get away. I have money. Plenty of it. Frankie doesn't have to stay with me. I'll do fine on my own.

'So, are we going down really early or just early? I want to be first. I want to be the first girl Max sees', Frankie said, interrupting my thoughts.

'We can go whenever you want, I personally can't wait to get out of this house. Plus, I'm sure Max will love you.' Frankie smiled and bit her bottom lip.

'Love at first sight, Lana. That's what it will be'. I couldn't help laughing at her. That day will be perfect.

I have slept through every birthday since my mum died. It doesn't feel right without her. But, this year, I feel like a change. I wont leave my room, mind. I was thinking about the meet and greet and I needed to give them something. I'm terrible at writing letters, so that's no good. I'm not going to go in there and give a speech about my life, either, so I decided I would draw an individual picture of each of them. I've always been good at art. I started early and finished all the pictures about five hours later. I was proud of the turn out. I was especially pleased with the picture of Dan. He has always been my favourite, so I spent extra time perfecting his. Then, my dad has to come in and ruin the mood.

'I got you a card. Happy birthday.' And he was right, it was a card. Just a card. No money, just a card that read 'happy birthday from dad'.

Wow.

'Thanks dad. Great card', I mumbled as he left. I decided to go back to sleep. I wasn't tired, but I had nothing better to do. I pulled the blanket over my head and closed my eyes. It felt like minutes, but when I opened my eyes, it was morning. Another perfect birthday. But, today was a good day. Tomorrow, I was meeting the most perfect men alive.

I had to get everything ready today so that all I had to do tomorrow is eat and shower. Drinking was out of the question, because having to take a piss halfway through wouldn't be convenient at all. I packed the pictures into a folder to give to them. Frankie decided to write a letter about how they saved her life and and stuff. None of this was actually true but she thought it would sound good, seeing as though she has nothing else to thank them for. I went downstairs to get a drink and saw Jamie and Andy sitting together. They were never apart. I liked how close they were. Me and Demi were close, but nothing compared to them. A few hours later I made dinner and eat in record time. I needed sleep. I had to wake early. I managed to sleep through the night with no problems. I used to suffer from insomnia. I wasn't so bad now, but there were nights when I wouldn't sleep at all. But, I managed to wake up on time. Dead on 5:30.

I showered and ate real quick and then headed to pick up Frankie. As she came out, I could see that she had 'Max' and 'Helyer' written in liquid eyeliner on both of her cheeks. I let out a laugh and drove to the train station. We arrived at around 10:15 and lined up for hours. It was ridiculously boring and ridiculously cold. I was wearing my white 'Hold Me Down' t-shirt and black jeans and vans and I was still cold. I talked to some girls to pass the time. They were ok I guess. Frankie was getting lots of compliment on her Max Helyer on her face and I was bored senseless.

A good seven hours later, we were given our wristbands and let in. We weren't at the front, but we were close enough to see them. I was speechless. I grabbed Frankie's hand and walked in.
