I stood slowly, watching the rest of the boys walk off stage. I picked up my drumsticks and the shirt I was wearing for the first half of the show. I would give her that. It was still slightly damp with sweat. Would she want that? Maybe she would think I was being disgusting. If someone gave me a sweaty shirt, I wouldn't be too impressed. Unless it was Megan Fox, or something. Maybe she feels that way about my shirt. Oh god, I don't really feel like taking the risk.

I don't know why I was so interested in her in the first place. I mean, yeah, she was obviously gorgeous and she seemed nice enough, but she wasn't anything special. Yet, I was so ridiculously drawn to her. It made me feel like some sort of hormonal teenage boy.

I don'e even know how old she is. Oh god, what if she's 15 or something? She didn't look that young, but you never know. You know what, I don't care. Even if she does turn out to be 10 or something, I'll just pretend I was doing something nice for her in thanks for the drawing she did for me. I suppose I'll just go down there and improvise.

Daniel, please don't make a fool out of yourself.

Everyone began to file out of the venue, some girls were crying, most were just talking about the performance. I couldn't stop smiling. It was amazing, to say the least. This has been the best day of my life. It sounds pretty stupid, a concert being the best day of your life. But it really was. I was able to take my mind off of everything at home and everything that has happened in the past for one night only. I felt free. Free from everything, like I could do whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. But I knew that once I got home, it would all go back to normal.

I was brought back down to earth when Frankie slapped me across the head. I winced and she pointed to the stage. She didn't say anything, but I knew what she was looking at. Dan was standing there, looking rather flustered. He seemed to snap out of it pretty quickly, though, as he came down to the front of the stage, jumping down to end up at the barrier. Exactly where I was standing. Everone who was still in the venue at this point had stopped and was screaming Dan's name.

He didn't take his eyes off of me the whole time.

I couldn't really describe how I was feeling. I was shocked, of course, but it was a bit awkward. He was standing there, completely silent, staring at me. I went to break the silence, but he beat me to it.

'Hi, I just wanted to give you this to, you know, thank you for the picture you drew me.' He said, handing me the shirt he was wearing that night. Every girl around me at that moment was silent. You could hear a pin drop.

'Wow, er...thank you! I'm glad you liked it.' What was that?! I couldn't think of anything better to say to him than that? I felt my face heat up and he laughed. He laughed at me. Oh god, why.

DAN

She was adorable. She went red, and I tried to hold it in, but a laugh just came floating out. She was so embarrassed.

'Yeah, um, thank you. This is, er, I...' She stuttered.

'My pleasure, beautiful. Hey, you know, you can come back with us for a bit if you want, so I could talk to you properly? That is, if you don't have to go home. I mean obviously if you don't want to you don't have to, but it would be nice.' This will get her. She'll come backstage with us, we'll talk and I'll find out how old she is. Amazing. Of course, I'm putting Max's life on the line by doing this. I'm just hoping he friend doesn't kill him.

ALANA

I looked at Frankie to decide. I mean of course I wanted to, but there were two of us, and if she didn't want to, I don't want to. She had a huge smile on her face.

'Will Max be there?!' She blurted out. Oh, of course she would want to if he was there.

'Yeah, we will all be there.'

'Well, what are we waiting for? Daniel, my friend, lead the way!' I laughed out loud at her. I watched Dan walk over to one of the security men to help us over. I admit, it was a little awkward with everyone watching us.

'Wait, Lana, don't we need to go home?' Frankie whispered. This was very true. In her case, anyway, not mine.

'Text your mum and tell her you're staying at mine. My dad won't mind, and he won't even realise I'm not there. Trust me.' She nodded her head frantically and whipped her phone out. I ran ahead a little bit and caught up with Dan, walking by his side.

'It's Alana isn't it?' He said, smiling. He remembered my name. Cute. I could feel the eyes of every girl piercing into me. Jealousy, ha.

'Yeah, but everyone calls me Lana.'

'Like Lana Del Rey?

'Yeah, but without the fish lips.' He laughed. Thankfully, it was with me, not at me.

'So, Lana, did you enjoy the show?' He said this with extra emphasis on my name.

'Of course! I got the tickets for my 19th birthday a couple days ago. I'd never seen you live before, so it was amazing!'

DAN

'I got the tickets for my 19th birthday a couple days ago. I'd never seen you live before, so it was amazing!' Bingo. I got her age without even having to ask. So, she was 19. Not too bad. Only 4 years younger than me. I smiled and continued to walk. I had managed to ignore that friend of hers until now. She ran up to me and started talking nonsense about Max.

She really did love him didn't she?

I wonder if Lana felt that way about me. If she did, she was extremely discreet.

I led them both to where we usually chill after the shows.

I was enjoying this already.
