Ginny pouted as she watched Kat and George with envy, Kat was resting her head atop George's shoulder as he held her on his back. She and Hermione shared a glance both full of envy but also awe at how the two could love each other so much. "Hey, Dad!" Ron called out, grabbing Mr. Weasley's attention. "Where are we going?" Mr. Weasley shrugged. "Haven't the foggiest, keep up!" The large group continued through the forest until they came across another voice.

"Arthur! It's about time son." Kat lifted her head at the sound of the familiar voice, Amos Diggory. Everyone came to a stop in front of Mr. Diggory who stood beside a large tree. "Sorry, Amos. Some of us had a bit of a sleepy start." Mr. Weasley apologized and glanced back at Ron and Harry pointedly who only yawned in response. "This is Amos Diggory, everyone, he works with me at the ministry."

Kat slid down from Georges's back and waved at Mr. Diggory. "Oh, hello Katerina! How is your father? I don't suppose he's coming to the match?" Kat smiled at the grey-haired man and shook her head. "He's well, sadly he's at work. He couldn't get off but he wishes he was here."

Behind Mr. Diggory, a figure had jumped down from its place in the tall tree. Once the figure stood tall, Kat instantly recognized the boy. "And this strapping young lad must be Cedric, am I right?" Mr. Weasley spoke, causing annoyed scowls to rise on the twins' faces. They were both still unhappy with the Hufflepuffs for the game this past year. "Yes sir." Cedric answered as he shook Mr. Weasley's hand.

Ginny and Hermione giggled quietly to each other as they shared a dreamy look towards Cedric. Cedric smiled over at Kat who returned the motion, causing George to glare fiercely at the dark-haired boy and entwine his hand with Kat's. Kat rolled her eyes at George and stood up on her toes to press a kiss to his cheek. It wasn't unknown that Cedric used to have a crush on the Gryffindor girl, and with the events of the past quidditch season, both twins were more protective.

"Merlin Arthur are they all yours?" Mr. Weasley chuckled at Mr. Diggory's question and shook his head. He gestured to the other children that were mixed in. "No, no. The redheads are mine." He gestured to Hermione and Harry separately. "These are Ron's friends Hermione Granger, and Harry-"

"Harry Potter." Mr. Diggory cut him off with a dropped jaw. Harry had a nervous expression at Mr. Diggory's astounded tone. "Ced's talked about you, of course," said Amos Diggory. "Told us all about playing against you last year...I said to him, I said—Ced, that'll be something to tell your grandchildren, that will....You beat Harry Potter!" Harry remained silent while Cedric flushed slightly in embarrassment. "Harry fell off his broom, Dad, I told you...it was an accident..." Cedric muttered.

"Yes, but you didn't fall off, did you?" Amos roared genially, slapping Cedric on the back. "Always modest, our Ced, always the gentleman....but the best man won, I'm sure Harry'd say the same, wouldn't you, eh? One falls off his broom, one stays on, you don't need to be a genius to tell which one's the better flier!"
