At the end of the next week, the students of Beauxbatons and Durmstrang were coming to Hogwarts to stay with them and continue their education while one student from each school will be in the tournament. That morning, Kat sat to George's right as they talked about Bagman again. "It's a bummer, all right," George said gloomily. "But if he won't talk to us in person, we'll have to send him the other letter after all. Or we'll stuff it into his hand. He can't avoid us forever."

"Who's avoiding you?" Ron asked as he sat down beside Kat and Harry next to him. "Wish you would," Fred said, looking irritated at the interruption. "What's a bummer?" Ron asked George. "Having a nosy git like you for a brother," said George. Ron looked at Kat and pouted. "Kaaatttt" He whined. Kat rolled her eyes in amusement. "Be nice" she told the twins who both smiled innocently. "That was nice." Fred said.

"You two got any ideas on the Triwizard Tournament yet? Thought any more about trying to enter?" Harry asked. "I asked McGonagall how the champions are chosen but she wasn't telling," said George bitterly. "She just told me to shut up and get on with transfiguring my raccoon."

"Wonder what the tasks are going to be?" said Ron thoughtfully. "You know, I bet we could do them, Harry. We've done dangerous stuff before...." Fred shook his head. "Not in front of a panel of judges, you haven't."

"McGonagall says the champions get awarded points according to how well they've done the tasks." George explained. "Who are the judges?" Harry asked. "Well, the Heads of the participating schools are always on the panel." Hermione added. "Because all three of them were injured during the Tournament of 1792 when a cockatrice the champions were supposed to be catching went on the rampage." The twins including Harry and Ron stared at her in shock causing her to sigh with impatience and look to Kat. "It's in Hogwarts, A History." Kat told them, earning a nod from the boys. "Ohhh" They all mumbled.

"Though, of course, that book's not entirely reliable. A Revised History of Hogwarts would be a more accurate title. Or A Highly Biased and Selective History of Hogwarts, Which Glosses Over the Nastier Aspects of the School." Hermione rambled. "What are you on about?" Ron asked with a frown. "House-elves!" said Hermione, her eyes flashing. "Not once, in over a thousand pages, does Hogwarts, A History mention that we are all colluding in the oppression of a hundred slaves!"

Kat and the twins all scooted a little further down the table as Hermione went off from across them. "You do realize that your sheets are changed, your fires lit, your classrooms cleaned, and your food cooked by a group of magical creatures who are unpaid and enslaved?" Ron was now staring up at the ceiling, Harry was looking anywhere but at Hermione and Fred was overly interested in his bacon.

"Listen, have you ever been down in the kitchens, Hermione?" George asked Hermione as he leaned forward. "No, of course not," said Hermione curtly, "I hardly think students are supposed to—" George cut her off. "Well, we have—" George gestured towards Fred and then Kat. "—loads of times, to nick food. And we've met them, and they're happy. They think they've got the best job in the world—" Kat shook her head quickly at George telling him to stop talking.

"That's because they're uneducated and brainwashed!" Hermione argued hotly. George ducked slightly behind Kat earning a soft snort of amusement from the brunette. Kat looked up as many owls flew into the great hall with packages and letters from families. Athena swooped down and landed right on Kat's left shoulder. She nudged her beak against Kat's head in greeting and hooted softly. Kat grabbed a small piece of apple she cut up and held it out to the grey owl who took it happily.

George pet Athena who happily snuggled up in the crook of Kat's neck and shoulder as he did so. "Bloody bird." Fred muttered bitterly. "What's your issue?" Ron asked him in confusion. "Fred's jealous that Athena likes me but hates him." George answered as he ate a piece of sausage. Ron laughed as he also pet Athena who let him, seemingly unbothered by it. "Seriously?!" Fred groaned as Ron grinned at him.

Before dinner, Dumbledore stood at the podium to announce the arrival of the Durmstrang and Beauxbatons students. "Now we're all settled in and sorted." Dumbledore paused for a second. "Please join me in welcoming the lovely ladies of the Beauxbatons Academy of magic and their headmistress Madame Maxime." Once more the Great Hall doors opened and a group of students clad in silk blue dresses entered.

The Beauxbatons girls walked in with their hands behind their back until they stopped by one of the tables and sighed dreamingly as they waved their hands releasing glittering blue butterflies. They continued down the way and Ron started to stare at their bums."Bloody Hell" He murmured. "Blimey, that's one big woman."

Ron looked up at Madam Maxine with wide eyes at Seamus's gasp. "Could say that again." He agreed. As the girls from Beauxbatons finished their entrance and bowed everyone applauded and some even whistled until Dumbledore stepped back up and held his hands out, quieting everyone.

"And now our friends from the north, please greet the proud sons of Durmstrang and the high master Igor Karkaroff." A series of older boys dressed in maroon suits walked up the aisle while twirling bo staffs in their hands and periodically stabbing them to the floor creating a spark effect. A certain pair of dark brown eyes landed on Katerina and a genuine smile formed on the person's face. "Blimey, it's him, Viktor Krum!" Ron breathed out with a squeak of wonder.

Viktor Krum broke from his rank and walked towards Kat, he stopped in front of her and leaned down pressing a soft kiss to the top of her head. He gave her a lopsided grin when he spotted the jaw dropped expressions of her friends around her. Viktor walked off, finishing their entrance before settling down at the Slytherin table with the rest of his group. Ron along with many others not only from Gryffindor stared at Kat in absolute shock.

"You know Vikor Krum and didn't tell me?!" Ron demanded with wide eyes. "Better yet- you didn't tell us you have a thing with the bloke? Does he not know you're dating my brother?" Fred questioned as George looked anywhere but at Kat. Kat looked at all three of the redheads, her own eyes wide, her face scrunched up when she realized what Fred had insinuated. "Ew! No, you gits! Viktor's my cousin."

George's head shot up and he looked at her. "Wha- he's your cousin? How come you never told me." Kat shrugged slightly. "People used to use me to get close to Viktor." Kat looked around at her friends and quickly added. "Not that I think any of you would ever do that...I just didn't want to risk that I guess..." George wrapped an arm around Kat's waist and pulled her closer. "Love we would never." Ron was still staring at Kat with wide eyes and received a glare from George. "Well...Ron might."

"Hey!"

Kat being the mother of the whole group is a mood. Them constantly teasing Ron and the others is something I enjoy jus a lil too much.
