Kat and the others were enjoying their time after the match, dancing around and drinking hot chocolate. "There's no one like Krum. He's like a bird the way he rides the wind." Ron said with wide eyes and an awed expression. The twins ran around Ron laughing and flapping their arms like bird. "He's more than an athlete, he's an artist." Ginny patted Ron's arm as she walked past. "I think you're in love Ron."

Ron glared down at her as she walked past him and over to Kat and Hermione who sat next to each other smiling fondly. "Viktor I love you! Viktor I do!" The twins sang mockingly. "When we're apart my heart beats only for youuu!" The twins and Harry sang until their singing slowly dissipated due to screams coming from outside. "Sounds like the Irish have got their pride on." Fred mused with a lopsided grin.

"Stop! Stop it. It's not the Irish." Mr. Weasley ordered as he pulled Ron and George apart. "We've gotta get out of here. Now." He demanded as he looked around at the group. "Fred. George. Ginny's your responsibility." Fred grabbed Ginny's hand while George held tightly onto Kat's. "Everyone get to the portkey, Bill, Charlie, and Percy are already back at the burrow." Mr. Weasley led them through the many destroyed tents and rushing people.

George tightened his grip on Kat's hand in fear of losing her as they bumped into people left and right. Kat's eyes widened at the sight of death eaters running around terrorizing everyone. A hooded figure spotted Kat being pulled along with the group. "Bistra." They growled and fired a spell towards her. "Kat!" Kat managed to duck for cover from the spell but ended up losing George and the others. She crouched down beside a burning tent, the fire being the only light she now had.

"Kat! Katerina!" She could hear people calling for her but they were too far for her to see. Another spell hit the post near her causing a scream to rip through her lips. Kat jumped up and ran for the dark woods quickly, gripping with her wand tight in her hand. Her breath was ragged as she hid behind a tree trying to figure out where she was and how far she was from the portkey. The tree was then burned with a defensive spell meant to hit Kat, slipping from her position Kat raised her wand and fired a spell back. "Depulso!"

The black-clad figure was sent backwards harshly stunning them long enough for her to take off running. Thank god for quidditch practice, Kat thought to herself as she tucked under a tree branch. "Katerina!" A familiar voice called out making Kat skid to a sudden stop. "Viktor!?"

"Kat!" Kat turned towards the left and found Viktor jogging towards her through the dark, wand in hand. "Vik." She breathed out heavily, pushing off of a nearby tree she ran towards him and buried her face in his shoulder. "Kat happened? Are you alright?" Viktor questioned looking her over nervously when they pulled away. "I'm-I'm okay...I lost George a-and Ginny and the others-"

"It's okay. I'll help you find them." Viktor assured her before taking her hand and making their way through the woods. "MORSMORDRE" The two Bulgarians came to a stop as the dark mark was portrayed high in the sky of green. "Viktor..." Kat mumbles fearfully. "It'll be okay." He promised. "Come on." Viktor tugged on her hand bringing her to start walking again. In the distance, Kat heard voices. "We can't leave yet! Kat's not here. I won't leave without her dad."

"That's them. That's George." Kat told Viktor her tone full of relief. "Go." He told her with a nod of his head. "But what about you?" Kat asked, her voice full of worry. "I'm going to find my team. I'll be fine." Kat wrapped her arms around Viktors shoulders once more and squeezed him tightly. "Obicham te, Vik" Viktor pressed a soft kiss to the top of her head like he did when they were children. "I az te obicham."

"I'll see you soon." Viktor said to her before they split ways, Kat's long waves were now mostly free from her braid as she ran through the dark. Her wand was the only small source of light she had. "Stop! Who goes there?" Someone called out sternly making Kat stop. Before she had the chance to say anything, a spell was fired at her. "Stupefy!" The spell sent her backwards causing her to fall harshly to the tree root covered ground.

Groaning Kat slowly tried to sit up. "That hurt.." She mumbled with a wince as she touched her severely bruised side. "What the bloody hell are you doing?! That's my girlfriend!" She heard George shout angrily before he and Fred rushed towards her with their wands raised as light. Both of them carefully helped her back into her feet before hugging her tightly.

"Merlin don't scare me like that again.." George breathed into her hair as his hand held the back of her head to his chest. "Are you hurt?" Fred asked. Kat shook her head. "Nothing but some bruises and minor scratches. I'm alright. I promise." Kat took a step forward ready to start walking but George quickly stopped her.

Bending down he wrapped his arm under her knees and one gently around her pack, lifting her up with ease. "George there's nothing wrong with my legs. I can walk fine." Kat insisted but George wasn't having it. "You don't need to, not when I'm here." Kat sighed silently knowing that George was now going to be even more protective over her, for a while at least. She rested her head against his chest and listened to his rhythmic heartbeat that soothed her. Her eyes became heavy and they fluttered closed as she drifted into a much-needed sleep

"Don't wake her mum!" George warned quietly, Kat was still curled up in his chest even as they reached the safety of the burrow. Through the spells Mrs. Weasley performed cleaning them of their dirt and soot and healing their injuries, Kat remained fast asleep in her lover's arms. "Poor thing is exhausted." Molly murmured softly as she sat across from the couple.

She couldn't lie, the smaller girl looked adorable curled up to her son. Her brunette waves fell down her back and over some of George's arm. Her hands were pinned against his chest while one clutched part of his jumper. Kat's eyes squeezed shut tightly for a second before they opened slowly adjusting to the light of the new day.

"How are you feeling dear?" Molly asked with a motherly tone. "Better." Kat answered softly as she sat up, George still kept an arm around her holding her close. "Sore, but much better..Thank you, Mrs. Weasley." Molly smiled and waved her hand. "Don't thank me dear. And what have I said about calling me Molly?"

"She'll be calling you mum soon enough." Fred teased as he entered the living room. Molly then broke into a wide smile and did a little cheer in her seat. "Oh, I can't wait for you two to be married!" George's eyes widened in embarrassment while Kat just hid her reddened face in his chest. "Mum! We've got a long way before that." Molly rolled her eyes light-heartedly. "Oh hush.."

The plump woman then stood up but not without smiling at the couple once more before making her way back towards the kitchen to make lunch. Fred laughed at their red faces and left the room. After a moment George looked at Kat who sat beside him on the old couch. "Jokes aside...I can't wait to marry you someday." Kat looked up at him and smiled lovingly. "Really?" She asked softly. "Abso-bloody-lutely. I want to have the most beautiful woman by my side for the rest of my life."

Kat raised her hands and cupped his face, her eyes looked into his before she leaned in pressing her lips to his. Their lips moved together before they broke apart to catch their breath. "I can't wait to marry you someday too Georgie."
