Chapter 5: night golf

Toms POV
Nervous for tonight I rang Harrison
*on call*
You: haz
Haz: what's up
You: you'll never guess who's in town
Haz: who
You:louis and y/n
Haz: Louis?
You: yeah
Haz: like the Louis our best friend we haven't heard from in 8 years Louis.
You: yeah

I sighed

Haz: and what?
You: well I'm having dinner with them tonight
Haz: k cool whatever

Harrison was a bit salty when Louis came to the topic when we were kids and he never heard from Louis he would get real sad, I never knew why though.

You: haz don't be like that he didn't do anything to us
Haz:  I guess you're right
You: so after dinner maybe we can all hangout
Haz: Yeah for sure
You: but anyways that's not why I called
Haz: why did you call
You: I need to impress y/n
Haz: you mean like louises annoying little sister y/n
You: dude she's not like that all and she's completely gorgeous

I showed him a photo then he started to tease me

You: I know right, I really like her but I think she thinks of me as a friend

An hour has passed and they were going to be here in 10 minutes.

Nikki: Tom this dinner was such a good idea I'm so excited to see Y/m/n and y/d/n after so long.

Paddy then started laughing historically,
But his laughter was silenced when the bell rang.

You: I'm sweating is anyone else sweating

he said as he patted me on the back and went to open the door.

I was about to go say hi when someone beat me to it.

Y/n: oh tessa hi Tessa! Hi girl hi

Tessa kept licking y/n but she didn't mind

She gave my father a hug

Y/n: Nikki hi how are you!
Nikki: y/n look how beautiful you have gotten
Y/n: and your still as stunning as ever

Y/n: no way is that the paddy holland, what's up padster

Y/n: Sam Harry, Sam how did the cinema go
Harry: he would have  crashed and burned if he didn't text me 20 minutes in.

Until my thoughts got interrupted when she came up to me.

We then instead of hugging did the Spider-Man handshake.

She then playfully punched me in the shoulder

Y/n POV
Dinner was such a lovley time we all had so many laughs and got to catch up

Nikki: so y/n where are you thinking of going to collage
I just shrugged
You: I don't know yet
Tom: y/n has like 7 different academic scholarships from Ivy League schools in the states.
You: I'm just trying to see what offers the best for what I want to major in
Nikki: what do you want to major in

I shrugged again

You: that's the problem I have no idea I laughed
Louis: Y/n should be a singer
You: shut up Louis
Mum: yeah she has a beautiful voice
Dad: like an angel
Dom: now this I gotta hear
Nikki: yeah let's hear you sing y/n
Paddy: oh y/n pls sing It will be so funny to watch Toms reaction

I then see Tom choke on his water as I laughed

You: I don't know
You: it's hard to be put on the spot like this plus I don't want to interrupt

You: Do you have an instrument?
Paddy: I can play that piano for you
You: well okay then I guess, Any suggestions?
Nikki: no you do you
You : okay I guess I'll do Ophelia by the luminers can you play that paddy it's a hard song to play
Paddy: psh in my sleep

Then I began to sing I was so nervous but then I looked at Tom, he was so cute I felt so comfortable so I relaxed and just sang

No words don't let my self be distracted because I want to listen to every single lyric, every single run, every single note she hits because her voice is mesmerizing, so beautiful, so perfect so pure and untouched and delicate.
I could listen to her singing for hours I don't want to stop listening pls don't stop singing y/n.
Sadly she did.
We all clapped.

Y/n: thank you thank you

She bowed

Y/n : but give it up for the real star mr paddy holland

Paddy then took a bow

Harry: wow I didn't know you were gonna be that good
Y/n: g thanks Harry she said while blushing but still laughing like she was embarrassed

I said completely mortified

You: I'm calling up my manager to see if he can get you a record deal

You: I'm serious the world needs to hear you

Y/n: I'm working on one right now

Y/n: sadly it's not finished yet but maybe another time.
She said smiling
God I loved her smile
I loved her eyes
I loved her hair the way it falls perfectly to her shoulders

Too soon to say that but I could not stop staring at her and when she left I could not stop thinking about her
I was like a love struck zombie thankfully haz snapped me out of it. When he showed up to my house

Haz: mate what's wrong
You: nothing
Haz: is it y/n
You: yeah
Haz: so she rejected u I'm sorry bud
You: what no! I just can't get her out of my head
Haz: dude you got it bad
You: I guess, maybe
Haz: so is Louis coming
You: yeah he's on his way
Louis: are you two ready to hit the road

Louis Barged in like he lived here just like old times

They gave eachother a hug but I can tell something was up

You: You ready
Haz&louis: Yeah what are we gonna do
You: gentlemen we are going to do a thing I like to call midnight golf
Louis: oh hell yes
Haz: I bet I'll kick your arses

Louis: what?
You: whoever takes the most shots on one hole has to take a shot of alchohal
Haz: oh I'm so in

The night went on we were at the golf course, no one was around and Louis was behind
Ofc we were all a bit tipsy but Louis was full on crazy.

Louis: dude tom do u like like my sister or whatever

Before I could answer haz did for me

Haz: oh yeah he's crazy about her
Louis : you should ask her out
You: wouldn't that bother you
Louis: hell no your my mate I know you will be good to her plus she'll be marrying into money

He said while laughing

You: while I don't know about marriage but I do want to ask her out

I was totally lying about y/n I'm already thinking about what ring to buy her

Louis: you have my blessing
You: great

I thought to myself

You: then I gottta do this now

You: yeah now

I let Louis and haz have the car cause I didn't want to leave them stranded so I ran as fast as I could towards y/n house, I had to tell her how I felt.
