"It seemed like you needed it."
"Yeah, I haven't had one in a while."
"Wow, I didn't know Tomioka-san had friends." Shinobu jumped in. Nezuko and Giyuu didn't notice the shorter girl until she decided to make her appearance known behind them. Not only is she nimble, she's also pretty quiet too. She was bending down behind them so that her head was leveled with theirs.
"Oh! Shinobu-san! What are you doing here? I thought you were still eating!" Nezuko blurted.
"I was going to tell you to get ready to leave since I have patrol tonight." Shinobu answered.
"Wait, tonight? But isn't it too dark?"
"You see, since demons roam during the night, that's when most of our patrol duty is! Isn't that right Tomioka-san?"
"Yes." Is all he grumbled back. He got up from the rocks near the koi pond they were sitting on and turned around to walk back into the wisteria house. Shinobu stood up, motioning her hands to signal Nezuko to come back.
"It's a bit chilly out. Get your brother to ready to leave and you can have on of the scarfs in the house. The owner wont mind."
"Ok, thank you Shinobu-san." Nezuko stood up and followed Shinobu back into the house, leaving light footprints in the fresh snow. She went back into her room to see a sleeping Tanjiro. This sight made Nezuko smile.
"Hey Tanjiro," Nezuko whispered. "We need to get ready to go. And after we get to Shinobu-san's estate, you can rest for as long as you want. But now we need to leave." Tanjiro slowly woke up to Nezuko rambling on and to show his thankfulness and gratitude, he pulled her into a hug. This slightly caught her off guard as she wasn't completely focused on him. Still, she liked the comfort.
Nezuko got up to collect the only things she brought. Since they were in a rush, she only had her pink kimono and black haori along with her special white and purple one she was wearing. She also brought along a couple of leftover pink ribbons she had for tying up her hair. It wasn't much, but it was all of her most treasured items she had left. As she was getting her stuff together, Shinobu walked in.
"Here, since you have nothing else to wear, you can have this kimono I bought here a few days ago." The shorter girl was holding a neatly folded kimono that was a light blue with purple accents that was the same shade of lavender as her haori. Nezuko did not want to accept such a beautiful item that wasn't even meant for her in the first place.
"No, I shouldn't. You bought it for yourself and it looks pretty expensive too. I can't accept it." Nezuko responded.
"But you don't have anything else to wear. Please accept it, as it would go very well with your haori. I could easily buy a new one if I wanted to." Shinobu rebutted. She was right. Nezuko really didn't have anything else besides the black yukata she was wearing. She accepted the kimono as it seemed that Shinobu wouldn't let her go until she accepted it.
"It looks like your brother already got your stuff together." the butterfly girl observed. Nezuko turned around to see Tanjiro finishing to put her stuff in a bag the wisteria house owner gave to them to use. All Nezuko was left to do was to change into the kimono and return the borrowed yukata she is currently wearing. The act put a soft smile on her face. Even as a demon, Tanjiro was still kind and caring.
