10. History

<Sometimes our past comes back to haunt us>

SH: Hello, this is SH.   IR: Hi, SH, it Irene.  How are you?    SH:<silent> What do you want?

IR: I just wanted to talk, can we meet?  SH: We have nothing to say to each other.

IR: I'm sorry about what happened.  It was just that you were always out skating and practicing.  There were a lot of bullies, and you weren't around to protect me.  I miss you.

SH: What happened to your boyfriend?  IR: He was never my boyfriend. We were just friends. 

SH: Then why did he claim he was?  IR: I don't know.  Honestly, I'm innocent, pure, and cute.  All the things you like in a girl.

SH: Really, that's not how I remember you. IR: It's the truth.  Please SH. I beg you. Don't you care about me? I need you. I'll change, whatever you want me to be. I'll do anything.  Just let me back in.  SH: <she sounded desperate> I'm sorry, but I have no interest in you. Not even as a friend, you destroyed that.

IR: Let's go on an adventure together, so you can see how much I've changed for you?  SH: Your idea of an adventure is room service, indulging in sweets, obsessing over material stuff, watching kpop, taking selfies, gossiping, and bullying other people with your girlfriends.  That's not what interests me.  Have you ever thought about anyone else besides yourself? You really don't know me.  You should find someone more compatible with your interest and not just look at their visuals.

SH: I'm sorry if you misunderstood me in the past, just because I was nice to you before.  But why would you ever think we would ever let you back into our club now that we know your true colors?  You ignored my friends, treated them badly, and were obsessive towards me.  You made me feel awkward and uncomfortable.  You know it goes both ways, you can't expect people to be nice to you for too long if you are not nice back.  We all tried to be nice to you, but you were selfish, self-absorbed, and petty.  IR: I can change for you. I'll be nice to your friends.

 SH: I know the stunts you pulled trying to get everyone to ignore a close friend of mine, setting him up, blaming him on false charges, trying to make him cry, under the fake pretense of pranking him on his birthday.  I can't believe you got others to go along with you. You're a bad influence. IR: It was a joke.  SH: I didn't find it funny. You did that to hurt the other person. Did you ever apologize?  IR: I don't have to, it was a joke.  SH: So that gives you the right to hurt someone?

SH: Then you started ignoring me and seeing other guys.  IR: It's not like that, the other guys were just friends.  And people are lying to you?  Did you have me followed? SH: You know I hate people playing games and trying to make me jealous.

SH: Anyway, I had someone watch over you to protect you when I was out on competitions.  Since you said you were scared and needed my protection.

IR: Why didn't you say something. I didn't know.  I was scared.  SH: Your boyfriend didn't want us near you.  You lied to me and tricked me.  You were only interested in my fame and using me.  We were friends.  We trusted you.

IR: Yes, I know, but what am I suppose to do?  SH: What do you mean?

IR: I wanted you to be my boyfriend.  I thought that if I go out with another boy, it would make you jealous.  SH: I'm not interested in you romantically. I never was. I only let you into our club because I thought you needed our help and protection. I felt sorry for you. IR: Why can't I come back to the club?
