My apartment was silent when I returned home, and I happily embraced it, dropping my key on the counter.

I'd have to eventually retrieve my car from the warehouse where I'd met the Winchesters, but for now, I could face plant on my bed.

Arguably the one thing I missed the most about my house was my really comfortable bed.

That and the angel warding. Nothing is getting inside without my permission.

Things had changed since the last time I'd been home, Castiel wants to have a relationship with me, but I'm not sure I want it.

I wanted to have one, it's just I've never really had a father figure in my life before. How would I act around him?

My phone chiming made me grunt in annoyance. Who could that be now? I pushed my hand into my pocket, pulling out my phone to look at my notifications.

'Gotta move now, just got a tip from a demon who owes me a favor that they're sending in hellhounds' - Garth

Without even questioning it, I grabbed my duffle bag from beside my bed, throwing in essentials and extra clothes. I shouldered that as well as my backpack that I'd yet to unpack.

Uh Castiel? I need to get out of here quick, I'll explain later just hurry. I quickly prayed, hoping it'd work, I've never done it before, so we'll see.

Sprinting to the door, I stepped over the threshold and locked it behind me as I waited for my angel father.

"What's wrong?" The deep voice of Castiel startled me slightly. Turning, I moved toward him.

"We need to get out of here fast" I warned, glancing around, with my enhanced hearing, I heard low growls of hellhounds.

Castiel nodded, placing a hand on my shoulder and raising his powerful wings. "Keep your wings drawn in" he advised before forcing his own down.

Seconds later we were in the men of letters bunker, the place I'd wanted to escape not even a day ago.

Sam and Dean had been sitting at a library table, their laptops in front of them, but now they stood, their attention on us.

"So" I awkwardly held my hands together. "Can I bunk with you guys for a bit?"

Dean folded his arms "I thought you needed space?"

I shot a glare at Castiel before turning my attention back to the Winchesters. "I was traced back to my apartment by demons, they were sending hellhounds after me. Luckily I've got a hunter contact that warned me just in time"

"Which begs the question of why Hell wants you" Sam folded his arms.

Shrugging, I mimicked his actions "I'm a rare species, but I'm a powerful one. Could be they want power, or Lucifer wants to use me against heaven"

Sam flinched, Dean made a move to comfort his brother, and Castiel was looking at me with a confused head tilt.

"How did you know Lucifer was risen?" He wondered, gaining the attention of the Winchesters once again.

"Some demons used one of the monsters I used to protect to lure me into a trap. They wanted my personal protection from the Devil" I glanced at Sam, feeling a little concerned at his reaction, I mean I'd heard the rumors for sure, but I can't imagine what he must be feeling right now.

"Used to?" Dean asked angrily. "You don't protect monsters"

"There are good monsters out there" I defended, biting my lip before I could out one of my friends to a bunch of monster hunters. "Besides some monsters hunt the bad ones, it isn't just humans anymore"

Dean looked like he was about to argue more, but Sam stepped in, shaking off whatever was going through his head. "Doesn't matter" he told his brother sharply "you can stay here as long as you need to" Sam turned to me, a forced smile on his face.

Castiel stood a few feet from me, also looking like he wanted to say something but kept his mouth shut. "I'll show you to your room"

Despite knowing where it was, I followed him anyway. The room was almost exactly the same as it had been when I left, if not a little untidy from my hasty escape.

Castiel stood in the doorway, his hands held awkwardly at his sides, almost looking like he wanted to enter but wanted permission first.

"It's okay Castiel, you can come in my room" I gave him a gentle smile as I placed some clothes into the closet, setting my bathroom essentials to the side, and pulled the one picture I had been able to snag before running the night my mom died.

The angel stepped into the bedroom, standing near the end of my bed while I unpacked. "Andrea-"

"Andy" I corrected softly, earning a confused look from him. "It's what my mom called me for short"

That drew a small chuckle. "Humans and their nicknames" he shook his head. "Sam and Dean don't call me by my full name, if you wanted to, you could call me Cas as well"

I nodded, putting down a shirt I'd been twisting in my hands "okay"

Silence settled in the room, and I kept my hands busy. Castiel made a move to leave, almost out the door before I called out to him.

"Hey Cas" I paused, as he stopped in his tracks. "I want to try too"

He turned giving me a small smile. My gut twisted again, a warning of something I just didn't know what it was yet.
