Slamming on my breaks, I stopped just short of the angel blockade. I tried to reverse it, but there was another line of angels.

This was a trap.

Sighing, I threw the car into park, opening up the door and squinting in the hot sun. There wasn't anything for miles, which could prove unfortunate for me. The wings of the angels were all spread wide and high, as if daring me to try to go through them.

Seeing the woman who raised me hurt, she was supposed to be dead and yet here she stood, tall and proud.

"Why can't you people just leave me alone" I huffed, I was defenseless, my angel blade was at the bunker. The slight pressure on my grace told me that praying to my father would prove fruitless. "Castiel, I have to go to my friend, he could die!" I tired to appeal to the angel who had pretended to be my father.

"You don't care about him, you are just an abomination" Castiel growled, the words stung,  even if I knew he faked most of our bonding time.

"So what, you guys are just going to kill me?" I crossed my arms, my wings twitching.

"You have one last chance to submit to heaven girl" my fake mom stepped forward alongside Castiel. "Don't and you die."

"So be a weapon or choose death?" I silently prayed to Lucifer, wanting him to hear it, even if I knew he couldn't. "That sounds like fun"

Inching toward my console, I tried to grab my phone. Arms enveloped my waist before I could, and dragged me closer into the circle of angels.

They all stood at the ready, their blades faced inward as I was thrown to the ground, my knees making contact with the rough asphalt.

"Make your decision Andrea" Castiel advised, I stood, facing them, ignoring the knives at my back.

"Andrea!" Lucifer called from outside the circle, almost immediately, I had an angel blade against my throat, held hostage by the very angel who said he'd protect me. How did Lucifer find us?

The rest of the angels split, falling behind Castiel and my fake mom. "Stay back or I'll kill her" Castiel threatened.

"Why?" I demanded, my hand going to the arm that held the blade. "Why do I have to die? Because I won't serve heaven?"

"Sweetheart" Lucifer looked at me "you aren't helping you case"

"No I want to know, is heaven really that petty?" I huffed when the blade was pressed closer to me.

"Hey!" Lucifer drew everyone's attention, his eyes a murderous red. "Think about what you're doing" he took a step closer "you kill my daughter, I slaughter you all" Another step. "You kill her and any leverage you have against me is gone" step. "I'd think very carefully about heaven's priorities" step.

Fake mom stepped forward, a cruel smirk on her face. "That's just it Lucifer, why force her to work for us when we can have you" she snapped her fingers and a circle of holy oil ignited, trapping my father.

"As for the abomination" Castiel removed the blade, but kept a firm grip on me. "She can die"

Before I could stop it, the silver angel blade was stabbed into my heart. I gasped, blood rushing to my wound as my grace tried to push the offending object out of me. My hearing dissipated as I dropped to my knees, holding the blade.

The pain was searing, any grace that tried to heal was burned away by the metal. I looked up to my dad who had the most heartbroken look of shock on his face, vaguely aware that he was screaming.

My wings stretched out in pain, the tips of the primaries starting to singe away as they caught fire. Blood started to dribble out of the corner of my mouth as I finally fell sideways, cradling the blade to my chest.

All I felt was pain, but darkness slowly began to ebb the corners of my eyes, Lucifer looked like he was desperately trying to get out of the ring of holy oil fire.

It was strangely calm when I slowly started to move to my back, wanting to see the sky one last time, a bright white light became the center of my vision and a beautiful woman was soon in view.

"Hello Andrea" she smiled "I've been waiting for you, don't worry sweetie, it's only going to hurt for a second and then you'll be at peace" she assured, kneeling down beside me, tucking some stray hair behind my ear. "I'll be by your side the entire time"

At some point the blade vanished, and my wound closed up, the woman held out a gentle hand, pulling me up.

"Who are you?" I asked when I found my voice.

"I'm your mom" she smiled.

"I thought angels were bad" I commented, looking down at our linked hands.

She laughed, and it was one of the softest things I've ever heard, I didn't know a laugh could be soft. "No silly, I'm not an angel and I'm not a demon. I live with the other nephilm and their mothers who have passed, you get to go to a special place"

"But I thought.." I began but she shushed me.

"Nephilim are half human half angel so a place was created for them, it's beautiful, no monsters or mayhem, just peace" she chuckled.

I looked around and found my body, sprawled across the ground, my wings burned into the rocks beneath me. I realized one thing.

I was dead.

Andrea Fe Winchester was dead.
