Groaning I sat up in my bed holding a hand up against my forehead. The room was dark, the only source of light coming from the cracks around the door.

Wait, my bed?

Last I remembered I was pummeled by an adult angel. Apparently my nephilim powers hadn't quite peeked yet. I was more worried about my demon friend that he kept trying to smite.

Gently pulling the covers back, I tried to stand, only to sit back down as the little light in the room was suddenly blocked out by dark spots.

Gathering myself once more, I stood more slowly this time, successfully making it on my feet, I walked to the door, eyes squinting as I got closer to the light.

Outside, the halls were brightly lit, every light seemed to be glaring at me. I wrapped an arm around my bruised stomach, wincing as I was brutally reminded of my beat down.

Mentally cataloging my injuries, I realized I have one large gash on my left shoulder, bruised or possibly broken ribs, some sort of brutal head injury, and several cuts all over. They weren't healing as quickly as they usually do, and I suspect that it was because they were made by an angel blade.

Arguing drew me out of my thoughts, one voice sounded suspiciously like my father, my real father, not Castiel's impression. I think that's why I was so reluctant to think of him as my dad and so accepting of Lucifer, because deep down I knew Castiel wasn't him.

The boys stood defensively next to one another, Lucifer on the other side, they were facing one another, and Lucifer was yelling at the Winchesters.

"-she wouldn't have been in danger if you two nimrods could just keep her here" he shouted, rolling his eyes at the two.

"We wouldn't have been able to keep her inside forever" Sam defended.

"Why are we arguing?" I interrupted whatever Lucifer was about to say, although I had a pretty good idea on who they were discussing.

"You're awake." Lucifer immediately had his attention on me as well as the Winchesters, he rushed over to me, placing two fingers to my forehead to heal my injuries. Apparently archangel grace beats angel blade.

"Yeah, what happened?" I squinted, my eyes not yet adjusted to the bright bunker lights.

"You were ambushed you at school" Sam to a small step forward. "Don't you remember?"

Glancing around, I saw that all three men had an expectant look on their faces. "Kind of, last thing I remember is that douchebag coming to my class and I challenged him"

"I'm sorry, you challenged him?" Lucifer crossed his arms. "You had a demon bodyguard for a reason"

I was about to answer when something Lucifer said stuck out to me. "Wait had as in past tense? What happened to Riley?"

"Don't worry about it" Lucifer shrugged it off "why did you challenge an angel when you aren't trained in your powers yet"

"I'm still a hunter" I shot at him "I've run across angels before, and they usually aren't that powerful"

"No you're not a hunter, not anymore" Lucifer replied with a glare, his red grace rose to his eyes as a sign of power.

My own grace flared up in defiance, filling my eyes with a yellow color. We both stared at one another willing the other to back down first. My wings ruffled in frustration as I broke eye contact first, but in my defense Sam and Dean were whispering and it's distracting during a battle of wills.

Lucifer gave me a smug look before returning his attention back to the Winchesters. "Andrea and I need some father-daughter bonding time"

"No way" the Winchesters protested at the same time.

"We don't trust you. we're not going to send her anywhere with you" Sam folded his arms.

"Sam Sam Sam" Lucifer tutted. "When are you gonna learn that you can't do much to stop me"

"He threw you in the cage" Dean reminded, crossing his arms as well.

"That" Lucifer pointed toward Dean "was a fluke, besides I got my revenge, isn't that right Sammy boy?"

Sam flinched but remained firm. "No"

"Guys" I called "shouldn't I be making the decision?"

"Last time we let you choose something, you challenged an angel that was way out of your league" Lucifer gave me an appraising look, almost daring me to disagree.

I looked away, not liking his argument.

"With heaven actively hunting you, I don't trust these idiots to protect you"

"Fine" I huffed out, Sam and Dean's eyes snapped toward mine, shock evident on their faces. "The only person who has answers is him" I pointed toward the devil. "I want to know about my mom"

The guys exchanged a glance. "If you so much as hurt on hair on her head.." Dean began, jabbing a finger in Lucifer's direction.

"I know I know, honestly Dean I feel wounded that you would think that" Lucifer placed an offended hand on his chest. "Just want some good old fashioned bonding time with my kid."

"I'll be fine" I promised. Lucifer made his way over to me, placing a hand on my shoulder.

"Might want to hold on kiddo, and tuck your wings, that way it'll be easier to fly" he suggested, I quickly folded my wings tightly against my back and watched as his own thrust down forcefully.

We were up and out of the bunker in moments, I closed my eyes, feeling the wind on my face as we flew over Kansas.

If this is what flying felt like, I was missing out on a lot more than I imagined.
