7- Demons

She hissed once the water hit her infected part. The red and black stained on her hand pained her. As if they're eating her. Y/n poured down another water to her tainted arm. "Lady Y/n! You've come back from the war!"

A familiar voice chirped. Y/n turned her gaze from the hissing black to the water. She smiled softly to the girl, but her gaze didn't leave from her arm. "Xing Yan, please get me another water from the river," Y/n ordered her. The said girl nodded her head and walked out from the room.

She started to hum a song as she poured another set of water. Ignoring the pain that bit her, she kept on a small smile. The sun shone above her, keeping her accompany. Y/n took off her robe. The silky fabric revealed her tainted parts of her.

Starting from her back till her left arm. It was pointless. She couldn't waste all the water just for her being. But it was dangerous for those who got near to her.

"Jing Jing!" She hollored. "Jing Jing一!"

Her heart throbbed on sudden. She quickly wore back her Hanfu. Without thinking twice, Y/n reached out to take her polearm. 'Someone's coming. Another demon had stepped it's foot here.'

"Jing Jing!" She yelled louder. Her hand opened the door quickly. She found the called girl on the floor. The poor girl trembled. The black liquid had almost devoured her.

"Jing!"

Her arms spreaded opened to her. She quickly wrapped her arms around her. "L-Lady Y/n, what's happening to me?" She whimpered. Y/n caressed her hair softly. "It's fine. Everything's going to be fine. Calm down and I'm going to get this out of you."

"Jenderal Ming Si!" Y/n called out loud. The called soldier ran to her once his name was called. "Bring out all the adeptis and the fairies. Evacuate the people. We're having a war. Leave those who got infrcted!"

"What about you, Lady Y/n?"

Things were getting intense. She had no time for this. "Get me a new polearm and my gnosis."

"You've been spacing out for more than a minute."

Y/n blinked for a while. She moved her sight to the clock. "Ah, right. Sorry. Just thinking," she apologized. But her mind was still somewhere else. She lifted her sleeve and saw the scar that craved her skin.

"Will you believe me if I said I was there thousands years ago?"

Her gaze was glued to the scar. "Know your place," Xiao stated coldly. Of course he wouldn't believe in her. "Alright," she sighed softly. "That scar is abnormal for a human," the adepti commented.

Y/n chuckled. She shook her head. "Hm? No, it isn't. I'm a mortal, right?" She chuckled but soon died down. Her hand trailed itself to seek for another's warmth. She exhaled the air softly.

"When someone dives in, will you save them?"

As a guardian of Liyue, he would save anyone to protect it's peace. "If it was for suicide, then I wouldn't. Those who have suicide thoughts are corrupted by the demons," Xiao replied. He clenched his hand tightly. He could feel the anger burning inside him.

"So, you're trying to say I'm corrupted?" Despite being a goddess, she had done a sin. A biggest sin that no one knew. He was taken a back, but calmed in the next second. Y/n chuckled lightly. She held his hand rubbed his palm with her thumb.

"Like a tale called Wei Ling, a girl who's known for someone with suicidal thoughts. Though, she looked okay, everyone put so much pressure on her. In the end, Wei Ling couldn't help but cry every night, feeling tired with life, she stated her last goodbye to the village and went to the beach."
