"Xing Yan, Ming Si, take the north!"

She sent the orders to the adeptis, ready to battle the demons head on. "What about you, My Lady?" Xing Yan asked the lady一turned to an unusual creature.

The horns stood out, the sharp teeth that formed around its mouth looked like it could eat you at any moment. Eyes that were blank white, shone brighter under the dark sky. Its claws were sharp and were ready to slash anyone that blocked its way to victory. The fur around its body and the hands of bear.

Instead of the usual soft voice, it growled very deep and rough. "I'll take the South."

"So this is what married couples are like?"

The kids curiously asked, looking at the h/c talking with a blonde. Y/n exhaled the air, moving her gaze to the small child for a while. "So, Aether. Are you searching for the Vigilant Yaksha?" Though her gaze was focused on the small innocent child, her attention didn't waver from the conversation.

The blonde nodded his head, surprised someone knew about this. "How do you know about this?" He asked the girl who only let out a small chuckle. The lady who loved to laugh and smile at everyone. "The flower that spreaded across the floor, knowing well they won't do much. The death and the lives can't be seperated. Is that kind of fate you'll meet?"

. . .

She was still smiling with her eyes closed, rested her head on the palm. Y/n waited patiently for the answer from the blonde. Who was this person, he didn't know. Aether shifted his gaze, slightly confused and uncomfortable. "I apologize deeply for the misconception you're having. It's indeed hard for people to solve that nowdays."

'N-nowdays?'

How old was she? Hell, she didn't even look like a grandma. "So uhm, tell me... how do we ask him to talk with us?"

She only let out a small chuckle whilst gazing at the balcony. Her eyes softened just by the sight of the traveler, that somehow一reminded her of someone.

The lady that once begged her to save her brother from terrible illness. "Is there something up, Aether?" The said man kept his gaze firm and didn't waver in any emotions a bit. "Rex Lapiz is dead."

Oh...

OH!

She wanted to burst out in laughter, only to be stopped when she saw the gaze that watched her solemnly. "Why don't you ask the kind lady there?" Y/n gestured her hand to the lower floor below them. Of course, who would know the 'kind lady' with just a gesture?

"O-oh my, where did your mascot go? Could she be with the lady already?"

"You know, you're getting more attached to the traveller."

Here the main lovers were, sitting by the rooftop, enjoying the clam scenery of the moon that seemed to shine brighter than usual. Xiao laid his head on top of Y/n's shoulder, feeling the warmth from the human form's body. If anyone was about to say the role was switched, it didn't natter for the two. As long as they have one another一it's fine.

Y/n wrapped his arms with hers, locking it, as if Xiao would leave any second. "Xiao," she called the adeptus that was still engulfed with her heat. "I invited the travelers to dinner. Wanna come?" Y/n asked calmly一patiently to be exact. Though, she knew the answer would be a 'no', she was still hoping for a 'yes'.

"No, I'll pass for this one."

She sighed, but didn't stand from her position. "Well, it's almost time for me to go now. The travelers must be waiting in the restaurant already," Y/n stated, slowly removing his head from her shoulder. It was his turn to sigh, he didn't want to let go. "I'll see you tomorrow," Y/n greeted and left after that.
