My Dear Valentine

Chapter 01: Heart Break

      It's the fourteen day of February, the love month. In the Kamisami Park, one of the most prominent place for couples. Almost all of the couples searching for an unwritten tree to write their names on its branches. There are a rumor that if the two person write together in the same tree their names, they will be no doubt that they are meant to be. And also, they will live together in peace, full of love, good life and prosperity.

        In the middle of the park, Akanika Sumabara, young twelve-year-old girl, with a black long-haired with a flower hairpin in her hair. She wears a white jacket and pants, and with a red winter scarf was waiting for someone in this area. She waited for almost two days and one night. Despite her hunger and thirst, she waited for another hour but the man she had expected has not yet shown. They promise to each other that every day, they will meet under  their tree. If someone has not yet come, they will wait for a moment. However, the boy did not come and never shown in the designated area. He promised to her that he had something to give her, so she had to meet him. She cried even there are no tears coming from her eyes. She looks at the tree, and she promises to herself she will forget this man forever and never wanted to see him again. She shouted all over the park that phrase.

        Five years later, Akanika, was seventeen years old now and her long bangs that cover her right eye, was walking together with her bestfriend and fellow classmate, Suzaki Liskanawa. They are both wearing a blue high school uniform and red ribbon in their collar.

        On their way, a bunch of girls yelled and mobbed a young man. His name is Takeroshi Kurisimo, second-year high school student, smart, talented and cool person. And also, he is the number one heartthrob sensation in the Takerishima Highschool. His hair was curly and colored brown. 

        Akanika can hardly believe that this man is studying here in this campus. She immediately grabs her friend to enter the school. Takeroshi saw her and recognized her flower hairpin. He quickly moves away from the crowd. The girls who want to seduce him became disappointed.

        "Hey miss, wait a minute. Hold on a minute!!!", he said while running and lifting his hands to be recognized by her.

        Suzaki heard it and asked Akanika to stop for a moment. Akanika asked her for the reason to stop. Suzaki pointed his finger towards Takeroshi. She was shocked that the heartthrob of the school was coming in front of them.

        "Yes, Senpai-Kurisimo. What do you want from us?", she asked while bowing their heads from him.

        "Are you Sumabara-chan? I recognized your flower hairpin. I'd never be thought that you still wearing that. Glad to see you again.", he said while smiling at them.

        All of the students of the campus was shocked and can hardly believe that the heartthrob of the school talks to a girl and its a first-year student. Even Suzaki was shocked too, but for Akanika it is just normal to speak to him like that. She just thanked him for his greetings and compliments. Together with her best friend, they proceed to walk away from him. Takeroshi was confused by her attitude, and he recognized that she just changed a little bit. 

        "I don't believe you, Akanika-chan! Our middle school and now high school heartthrob are wanted to speak with you. Why did you just ignore him in that situation?", Suzaki asked from her.

        "I just don't have time for a long chat with him.", she said while adjusting her bangs.

        "Is this because, he looks like him?", Suzaki asked, and she stopped for a moment.

        "It doesn't matter, Suzaki-chan. Just don't ever mention him from me. It makes me sick. Let's go now before our first class starts.", she said with a calm voice.

        On their way, there are a lot of club advertisement and recruitment settled. She just ignore all of it, but they totally cornered Suzaki. She looks at them scary, and the clubs recruiters apologized. And then, they step away from them. 

        "Don't be like that, Akanika-chan. People around you are mirrors. Whatever you express to them, will going to do the same to you.", Takeroshi said from her. 

        "Senpai, why are you following us? You should go now to your classroom.", Akanika asked from him.

        "Because you just ignore me lately. I just want you to know that I'm glad to see you here.", he said with a smile.

        "If I don't failed to get that score, maybe I could never be here. I'd never thought too that you're here, senpai. Let's go now, Suzaki.", she said, and she walks aways from him for the second time followed by Suzaki.

        The people around her was shocked from what she did to him. Although, Takeroshi told to all of them that its only a misunderstanding and forget what has told lately. However, he just don't know exactly why she hated him. He wants to know the truth and knows her better.
