Chapter 08: Ice Cube Bucket

It's Monday, the weather is fine but for the case of Akanika is an opposite. She is totally depressed and dismayed about the incident last Saturday. Suzaki noticed her being so down. She tries to greet her, but she didn't notice. She immediately tapped her back and Akanika noticed her but in an angry manner.

Akanika said with an angry face, "Who the heck tapped me? Do you want a fight with me?" Akanika felt embarrassed when she saw Suzaki. "Oh no, no, no, no, sorry Suzaki-chan. I didn't mean it. I, I, I don't wanna say those words to you. Sorry for being so rude. I'm so stupid. So, so, so stupid."

Suzaki comforted her by holding her head and fixed her flower hair pin in her hair. Suzaki said, "Don't worry. I know you don't wanna to do that. Just relax okay. I'm fine. Forget about it. Hey look at me. I'm not angry. See."

Akanika said, "Suzaki-chan, thank you so much. You're a good friend." And she embraced her tightly.

"Okay, let's go now. I know you're not in a good mood today so I will not ask about it. Maybe later when you're fine. Oh, come to think of it. We must hurry now before we were going to be late in our class. Okay" Suzaki said with a smile.

"Right!" Akanika replied with a smile

After the first and second period of the class, Suzaki asked now the reason why she was so dismay lately. When Akanika told to her the incident, she laughed at her.

Suzaki said while laughing, "Haha, Akani-chan. So, that's the reason why you're so upset and depressed early this morning. That's totally so funny. Haha"

Akanika felt mad and embarrassed, "What's so funny about it? I'm the victim in this situation. Do you know that I cried because of that man?"

"You cry because of that! Haha. Akani-chan don't be so serious about it. It's only natural and normal to man like him to do that. You're so unfriendly, curmudgeonly, snobbish, pettish, and scary when it comes to social conversation with men especially in the case of Takeroshi-senpai. He just made it to make an excuse to be your friend and have a time with you. You're so lucky because he is the one who running after you. You know that he is gentle, nice, naive and handsome person. So there is nothing to worry about." Suzaki explained from her.

"But he just set me up. Those conditions creep me out. I don't know what should I do when I see him and make a command. Oh mama mia, why did I swear to him that whenever he make it, it will be comply even though, it against to my dignity and beyond my will?" Akanika replied from Suzaki.

"Haha, don't worry about it. I think he just gonna make it easy for you. If..."

"If what?" Akanika asked

"If you keep yourself to be friendly, kind and nice towards him. You can do it, right?" Suzaki explained from her.

Akanika was annoyed about it, but she just told to her that she can do it. Suzaki felt happy by what she said.

As the time has passed, it's already lunch break. Akanika becomes so over observative and strictly cautious in her surroundings. Whenever a man approaches her, she always looks at his face with an eagle eye. But, when it comes to girls, she gives them a beautiful smile like a flower blooms in the park. As she always doing it, she never noticed that she was in the second floor near the stairs. She found Takeroshi in the middle of conversation with his former classmates. Takeroshi found her too and he looked at her face. He walked towards her for a greetings. She felt shy when he smiled at her. When she stepped back, she was tripped and lose her balance.

"Oh no, I tripped. I'll definitely fall down the stairs. Why I so careless?" Akanika thought in her mind and she closed her eyes.

"Gotcha, you're save now." said by a strange voice

"Wait, who said that? Am I being hallucinated?" Akanika said

"Hey Akanika-chan, open your eyes." asked by the strange man

Akanika opened her eyes and blushed suddenly when she realized the man who save her is Takeroshi.

"Senpai?" Akanika said

"Hey, why are you here? Do you have something important to do here in this floor?" Takeroshi asked from her with a smile.

Akanika can't move her body because of shocked. This is her last time when a man holds her. She remembered again the man who made her cry and gave her a deep grief.

"Hey Senpai." Akanika said

"Yes?" Takeroshi asked

"Get your hands off of me, Senpai." she ordered from him. And she stood up when she was released by Takeroshi.

"Huh? Is that it? No saying your gratitude from me. Are you mad at me again? I saved you from falling." Takeroshi asked from her and he felt mad when Akanika ignore him again.

Akanika said with a poker face, "Yes, that's all"

Takeroshi was dismayed about it. However, he remembered something important to use against her.

"Oh, if you're always like that. I'll command you to thank me with all your heart." Takeroshi ordered from her.

"What? Why you'd force me to thank you? I'll never obey your order even if, it was the end of the world." Akanika said with confidence

"Oh is that so? So I better to copy and distribute all of the records of our conversation. It will prove to them that you, Miss Akanika Sumabara is a kind of person who doesn't fulfill your promised with someone else. Hehe What do you think? You're gonna insist again?" Takeroshi warned from her.

"You whimpy monster. Arrgh. So be it. Do what you want! But I'll swear in the name of my ancestor that I'll smashed your face like a broken vase and ruined your life till the end." Akanika said from him.

Takeroshi felt scared from her. However because of the courage and self-confidence, he said from her with a calm voice, "Oh really, smashed my face and ruined my life, but I'll promised to you too. The opposite is what I will do to you, I vouched that."

Akanika blushed suddenly when she heard it. She quickly walked away from him and headed back to her classroom. When Akanika gone, Takeroshi felt relieved and looked at the paper that Loreo gave from him.

"Loreo-kun, thank you for this note. It helps me a lot. But as I recall, I feel uncomfortable about it. Come to think of it. I feel this isn't the right way. This is like seducing her with a romantic quote. Oh well whatever, I'll do my best to make her to become my friend. And accepts me as a man." Takeroshi said from himself.
