Chapter 11: Smell of Tea

It's Sunday in the afternoon, 12:00 pm, Akanika was busy to prepare the lunch while Loreo was watching television in the living room.

Akanika called him with a loud voice, "Loreo, the meals are ready! Get yourself in here after you turn off the TV!"

Loreo replied, "Alright, Onee-san! I'm coming!" And then he turned off the television.

After they have finished their meals, Loreo asked her. "Ahmm...Onee-san, may I go out and play with Oni-chan?" Akanika stopped suddenly in washing the plates.

"No," a quick response by Akanika

"Oh come on. Please Onee-san, I just wanted to see the whole house of Oni-chan. And also, I want to meet his parents too." Loreo asked from her.

Akanika said with a calm voice, "Did we just agreed recently? That you will not going to meet him forever. Especially, we don't have any business with his family. So there is no reason to go after him." And she continued to wash the plates.

"Ah come on, Onee-san. I haven't seen him for almost a week. This is my chance to see and play with him in his house. Please Onee-san, I'm begging you. Let me meet him again. Please, p-please..." He holds her arms tightly.

Even though it will cost of argument, she can't afford to let him see him. Sacrificing her love to her little brother is absolutely so mean for her.

"I said no, just go the living room and watch some movie on the television or go to your room and finish your homework." she said and Loreo felt angry at her. He ran quickly ahead to his room and locked it.

"You're so mean, Onee-san!" he yelled at her.

As he screamed those words, Akanika felt sad about it. Her heart was hitted something like a thorn of roses struck it hardly.

Nine hours later, someone knocked at their door. It's already evening, Akanika moved quickly and opened it. She was shocked when she saw Takeroshi carrying Loreo whose was sleeping deeply.

"What have you done to my little brother? How did this happen?" Akanika asked from him.

Takeroshi replied, "Hey Akanika-chan, it's not what you've thought. So, don't blame me with that. He just went in my house unexpectedly. He told me that he escaped from your house. I just want to let him go, but he insisted on staying with me. So, I granted his wish and play with him a little bit. Don't worry, he just sleeping because of tiredness. That's all."

Akanika rubs Loreo's head, and she said, "Oh Loreo, why have you need to do that? You escape secretly in our own house? You're so aggressive and silly boy."

"By the way, Akanika-chan. Why did he do that? Did something happened between you and him." he asked

"Yes, we just argued about you." she replied while continuing to rub her brother's head.

"Oh, so it's my fault again. Sorry if I bother you again this time. Loreo does that because of me. I'm very sorry, Akanika-chan." Takeroshi said from her.

"N-No, don't blame yourself. Truthfully speaking, it's totally my fault. If I allowed him to go in your house, it will never going to happen. Sorry to disturb you by my brother, Senpai. Thank you for taking care of him and everything you've done for him. I'd really appreciate it." she said while bowing her head at him.

Takeroshi felt shy about how she treated him well. He doesn't expect that she will be like this for him.

"Please come inside," they entered the house. She asked him, "Sorry Senpai but may you please bring him in his room upstairs. It's on the blue door next to my room. Hehe, I just can't do it by myself."

"Oh, if that the case. It's my pleasure." he replied with a smile.

"Thank you, and after that get down here in the living room. Take a seat. Because I have something for you." she said

When Takeroshi have finished to bring Loreo in his room, he went down the stairs. He seated in the sofa and waited for Akanika.

He thought in his mind, "Wow, I didn't expect this event. She was so kind, hospitable and nice to me this night. Is something happen to her? I thought she was scared of me when we bumped each other in the lobby last time. Oh well, I don't care anymore. It's good to see that she treated me well rather than last week."

Akanika arrived and brought a cup of tea for him. Takeroshi thanked for her kindness, and she smile at him as a feedback. She seated in the chair next to him. After a few second, both of them don't know what to start to talk. Takeroshi decided to drink first his tea and then both of them talk at the same time.

"Akanika!"

"Senpai!"

They looked at each other and blushed suddenly. Akanika asked him, "Feel free, Senpai. You should talk first."

Takeroshi replied, "N-No, you should start first, Akanika-chan.There is a rule, Ladies first before gentlemen."

After that, they laughed with a big smile on their faces.
