It's been three days since Yoongi's been living in Taehyung's childhood home. Taehyung's mother was very sweet and always asked if Yoongi needed anything. Of course she wouldn't get anything herself, she'd order Taehyung around. Yoongi found it endearing and funny.
But today was Taehyung's mother back surgery. Yoongi decided to go with them for emotional support. Once she got into the hospital she checked in and then medical staff began running test to make sure she was okay for surgery. Taehyung stood by her bed side holing her hand.
"While i'm in surgery make sure you eat okay? You and Yoongi"
"Don't worry mom we will. We can eat the food at the cafeteria"
"Okay good and can you do me a favor?"
Taehyung sighed knowing his mom was being dramatic "Of course Ma"
"Can you bring me flowers when I wake up? It's soothes me"
Taehyung smiles "I'll gladly do it for you" he said leaning down to kiss his moms forehead "Just focus on getting better"
Soon his mother was bought in for surgery. Taehyung and Yoongi waited in some waiting room. The taller was barely talking and Yoongi can tell he was worried. But soon it was lunch time and Yoongi makes Taehyung go to the hospital cafeteria and eat like promised. They got a trey of food and sat down. Taehyung immediately digs into his food. Yoongi eats occasionally looking up at Taehyung. The taller noticed this and smiles
"Sorry i'm so tense hyung. I'm just... nervous. I know my mom will be okay but hospitals give me anxiety sometimes. At least when a family member is here for emergency"
"It's no need to apologize Tae. I understand you're worried for your mom. How about umm... how about you tell me about this town to get your mind off things" Yoongi asked taking a bite of rice with his soup
"Oh my childhood was pretty fun. Mainly because of my best friends Hoseok, Jimin, and Jungkook. We met at elementary school!" he sad excitedly "me and Jimin were in the same class. Hoseok was a couple years older, and Jungkook is one year younger. We all played together during recess often"
"That's sounds cute. How did you all manage to stay so close?"
"Well this town is pretty small. Nearly everyone grew up with each other. It was hard to not see them around. They practically became like my brothers. I actually didn't tell them that I came back the other day" Taehyung smiles at the thought of his friends
Yoongi frowns "Well why not? You didn't tell them you were moving?"
"No I did. I just didn't tell them the exact day I was moving. Also... I wanted these three days to be about to helping you settle in and help my mom. If they found out I was here they'd hound me. But in a good way. I'll make sure you meet thne all soon" Taehyung shrugs
Yoongi nodded "I'm sure any friend of yours are really nice. Don't take this the wrong way but, did you even have friends in Seoul? I've never heard you speak of anyone you've hung out with"
N-No I actually didn't" Taehyung looks down at his food i'm embarrassment
"What? A social butterfly like Tae didn't have friends in the big city?!" Yoongi gasped dramatically
"Heyy I was focused on working! And I did hang out from to time. I just didn't want to get close to just anyone. I like the friends I already have"
"Hmm then why'd you leave this place then?"
"it's somewhat of a long story" Taehyung chuckles "Back in my rebellious days. I always saw the big city as a place for me to do whatever I wanted. So many opportunities honestly. I didn't want to stay and work for my moms floral farm. My friends chose to stay home and work for their parents too. I just felt like.... like things were boring. Also we were kinda struggling financially"
Yoongi nodded "I see... so how did you parents feel? How did everything happen?"
"I was working as a barista at first when I moved to Seoul. I didn't go to college because of money so I was a full time barista. My parents were okay with it as long as I wasn't homeless. They wanted me to be happy... but a couple years ago my dad died due to an accident at the factory he worked at. It was hard... probably the hardest for my mother. I should've came back home a long time ago but that pain of remembering my father was back here. It hurt my heart a lot" Taehyung looked down at his food sadly
Yoongi reached over and held Taehyung's hand "Will you be okay staying here now?"
The taller looked up and nodded "Yeah I'll be fine. I was able to give myself time and move on. Besides... I have you here hyung. You always make me happy"
Yoongi blushes "You're always so nice to me Tae"
"I'm just being honest. The heart feels what it feels" Taehyung shrugs "My intuition says that you're just a great person"
"Well I like your intuition"

People are getting on my nerves with this Covid thing.... 😡 people don't want covid but yet you have people throwing parties? You can't get the best of both worlds. The Super Bowl should've not even happened. It just made people want to party even if most fans weren't in the stadium. It made people want to throw parties at home.....and even Steve Aoki threw a damn party with people not wearing mask and shit. Are y'all serious? Get it together America. FUCKING GET IT TOGETHER ASSHOLES. I'm tired of yall here.
