Corpse was an actor. He was also a faceless streamer. He didn't mean to become an actor but it happened, and so he struggled hard to try and hide the fact that he was the same Corpse that told scary stories and played among us.

What happened was a director was planning on making a show about Among us, inspired by the streams, and he had been discussing casting methods with his friend in a coffee shop one morning and over heard Corpse ordering a donut and asked him on the spot if he'd like to play himself.

Corpse had been frozen in place, too afraid to say no, so he nodded and was handed a card to call for audition details.

He originally planned to go home, toss the card to the side and forget that it ever happened, but when he received his hospital bills ftom his most recent visit and saw that even streaming for hours wouldn't be able to cover them, he picked the card up and called the number.

So now, Corpse stood in line, his eyes darting from side to side and his mouth dry. There were lots of men that closely resembled him in line. He adjusted his eye patch nervously, as he listened to the person who was auditioning trying to make his voice lower than it actually was.

He held back a smile. Even though the conditions that made his voice as low as it was sucked, they had blessed him with something unique that had assisted him in meeting some of his closest friends and getting a lot of the opportunities he had gotten.

He watched as the dejected man walked out of the room, head down cheeks flushed a slight red.

The next one went in and he sighed. He was bored and his anxiety was acting up. He just wanted to go to the safety of his home and text his friends.

His mind travelled to the endless zeros on his hospital bill and his feet stayed planted to the floor. Just another half an hour.

His phone vibrated and he lifted it out of his pocket. It was a text from Karl.

Hey Corpse! I'm gonna
stream soon. Wanna
hop on?

Can't. I'm out.

Corpsehusband? Out?
Doing what?

I'll tell you later.

He slipped his phone back in his pocket, looking up to see that the next guy had gone in and the previous one was walking cockily out from the audition room. He felt a little bad denying Karl that stream. They hadn't been able to stream much together lately because Karl and Sapnap were having issues.

His phone buzzed again.

Sykunno.

A small smile cracked onto his face as he unlocked the phone.

What is among us
without you?

Boring. Sorry, I'll
explain later.

He locked his phone. It was quiet beside the voices of the men auditioning drifting through the door.

Finally, Corpse was next in line. He took a deep breath, holding the door open as the man before him walked out. He walked into the room and his stomach clenched tightly. The door shut behind him and he felt extremely vulnerable.

Nothing scarier than acting like himself in a room of four strangers.

The man who had given him the card brightened up as he saw him. "Hello! I'm so glad to see you here. Okay, here is the lines we would like you to run over. You're gonna be the imposter and I'm gonna be a crewmate who saw you kill and my friend Alyssa here is gonna be someone who ran into us."
