You are your boyfriend Soda pop decided to go to the beach. "Is there even a beach around Tulsa?" You asked soda. "Uhh let me ask Darry" he said leaving the room.
"DARRRY" I heard soda yell. Soda comes back in. "Well there's a beach called Tall Chief Cover beach." He said "great I'll get my stuff" I said.
Sodapop didn't look to thrilled. "What?" I said
"It's a 30 minute drive" he said. I sighed knowing Steve would take us, which was okay.
Lately Steve and Evie have been fighting passive aggressively. Soda and I always felt awkward about it. "Can someone else drive us?" I asked. Soda sat down on his bed "I guess two-" I cut him off "two bits always drunk I don't trust him driving us" I said.
Soda stomped to the livingroom I knew he was going to bug Darry on his one day off. I could hear Soda whining. It was cute, I loved how Soda could always get Darry. Soda came in looking more disappointed. "Darry said no?" I asked "not exactly" soda said. I wondered why Soda looked disappointed til I heard Ponyboy run into the room. "Oh soda I'm so excited Darry said we're all going to the beach Steve is picking up evie, Two bits picking up kathy once they get here you guys can pick who's car. Johnny and Dal went to go buy some pop. This is going to be so much fun" Ponyboy was almost out of breath he was so excited.
How could you even be mad. I was packing my beach bag. "Soda come help me put the tents in the trunk" Darry said "you have to work don't you?" Soda said realizing quickly we may have NO alone time at all. "Nope little buddy were camping" Darry said smiling.
The Curtis brothers love the outdoors, but myself not much. Me and soda picked Steve's car. "Wow baby you took so casual" said Steve with a fake smile. "Oh thank you, don't ever change your teeth there so original" Evie snapped back
Me and soda looked at each other this was going to be a long night. "I'm bored" Dallas said. We haven't even left Tulsa yet. I swear Dally was like a child if he wasn't driving. "Punch buggy" Dallas said punched me I laughed but it actually hurt
"Aw your going to wear a two piece I love how close you are with my friends" Steve said "I love how you smell like gas incase I miss the DX" she said again filing her nails
Once we got to the beach I was so ready to go for a walk in the woods and die. "Y/n can you help me pitch the tent" Darry asked. "Yes of course" I said I wanted to run away and yell you can't make me, but I didn't.
I was so confused how to work this tent I got tangled and fell over. "I admire you don't feel the need to help y/n with the tent you feel no peer pressure I love it" said Evie looking at Steve. "Hun I love that you sit on your ass and volunteer me to do stuff" said Steve
Soda started helping me, we got our tent set up. Johnny and Dally were making sharp sticks with there switch blades. Two bit and Kathy were laying in there tent. Ponyboy and Darry were looking at rocks.
Me and soda went down to the beach, he lifted me in his arms while we were in the water. We both leaned into kiss. But of course I was a face full of water. Ponyboy laughed "got you" Soda and Ponyboy started having a splash war. Soda mouthed I'm sorry. Darry came in and followed the whole gang. "Steve I love that you don't cut your toe nails" Evie said. "And I love that you never lose wei-" Dally dunked him "what was that for Dally?" Steve looked "never bring up a girls weight unless you wanna go missing" dally joked
After the swimming, we had a campfire i snugged next to Sodapop. Darry was telling us a long story about a football game. "Well y/n is getting tired" Soda lied.
Once we got in our tent, we were sharing a sleeping bag. "Kiss me y/n" soda said
We finally got an amazing kiss.
"There having sex there making babies" Dallas said shaking the tent. "They better not" we heard Darry yell. "Alright y/n you and Steve are going to switch tents" Darry said "she's not sleeping with Steve" soda said hugging me.
"No Steve's sleeping in here. y/n go sleep Evies tent" he pointed at the tent across the way. Me and Steve switched
I couldn't sleep, Evie kept talking about how she wanted Steve to proposed. " I have to go to the bathroom" I said "want me to come with?" She asked handing me a flashlight. "No I'm okay" I said
I walked over to Steve and sodas tent. I unzipped the tent before I knew it, Steve jumped up "AHH A BEAR" she yelled and punched my forehead "owe" I said.
"Y/n what are you doing?" Steve said obviously mad. Soda sat up laughing "did you yell bear?". "No" Steve said laying back down. I laid down with Soda
This wasn't the beach day I wanted. But it was better than any day I could of imagined.
"Y/n?" Soda said very sleepy "yeah?" I said
"I love you thank you for putting up with my crazy family" he said "I love you too"
