I promise it'll be fun, Cami!" I roll my eyes and stuff my feet into the heels that I'm being forced to wear.

"Do I absolutely have to go, Kay? More importantly do I have to wear this?" I make one last pleading attempt with my best friend.

"Yes, and more importantly yes."

I roll my eyes and tug on the hem of the short black dress she handed me to wear. It ends barely at the tops of my thighs, leaving nothing to the imagination. I'm already out of my element and we haven't left our apartment yet.

"Hurry up because Ash is almost here!" She chirps as I zip the black heeled ankle boots I was also instructed to wear.

I hear the familiar honk outside signaling that my older brother has arrived to drive us. I stand up from the bed and attempt to walk normally. In my head I'm imagining that I look like a fawn just learning to walk.

I throw my small purse over my shoulder and make Kay hold my hand so I don't fall on my face. She laughs as I clutch onto her with one hand, and the stair railing with the other.

I turn and lock the door, not wanting to witness her sucking my brothers face off like they always do. I love them both to death and I love them together, but it's still gross.

"No, no, no! Go back inside right now Cami. Kay, babe what the hell did you do to my baby sister?!" Ash's voice is louder than usual, but still not very angry. He's usually about as intimidating as a golden retriever.

"She looks great and deserves to have some fun." Kay pipes up, I finally turn to face my brother and give him a sheepish smile.

"Yeah 'fun' doesn't look like that.  I don't need my idiot friends all over her! Back upstairs, Eris, now." I glare at him for using my first name. He knows I hate it.

"Don't call me that Ashhole. I'm not a baby, I'm nineteen now! I'll do what I want." It came out whiny, not furthering the point that I'm an adult.

"Damn it, fine. I'm sorry, I know you hate that Cam. If I have to kill some gross dude though the bloods on your hands. You couldn't even bring a jacket?! It's freezing and-" Kay stops him and ushers him back to the car.

I follow silently behind them, stumbling a few times on the short walk to the car.

I'm in the backseat and I can hear Kay and Ash talking to each other. I sit humming quietly to the radio since I can't hear what they're saying. After we drive what could only have been a few miles, Ash parks the car on the street and we all shuffle out.

"Stay with Kay or me at all times, okay? Don't go off by yourself, and don't drink too much. Oh my god don't you dare take a drink from anyone you don't kno-"

This time I stop his ramblings,

"Ash, I'm not a baby, remember? I'll be fine. I'll stay with you and Kay."

He nods at me and laces his fingers with Kay's before walking up to the house. I was told it's a celebration or something for one of Ashton's friends. I knew it was a party, and I didn't know what to expect since I don't go to parties.

But I wasn't prepared for this, that's for sure. He walks in the door first, leading Kay behind him as I blindly follow. I could hear the music before we even reached the door, and once inside all I see are bodies. They crammed as many people into this house as they could it seems. What looks like it's typically a living room is being used as a dance floor, the couches pushed against the walls.

A few people stop Ashton as we push through the house and he greets them all the same, never stopping to talk. He seems to know a lot of people here, but we don't stop moving until we reach the kitchen.
