"Here's the itinerary I have for today. First stop is shopping, then we'll feed the angry monster boys, then we go home and pregame and get ready." Kay whispers to me. She insisted Calum sit up front with Ash so her and I could catch up.
"Get ready for what?" I asked her, I was unaware we had plans at all.
"I really can't rely on those boys to tell you anything." She says rolling her eyes,
"Luke's party is tonight and we're going." My head shoots up, almost knocking into hers as I stare at her with wide eyes.
"What!?" I spoke too loudly due to my absolute shock from her suggestion. Calum caught my eyes immediately in the rear view mirror and raised a brow at me.
Kay scowls at me and snaps for me to focus back on her. I send Cal a weak smile and turn back to Kay.
"You're fucking dim sometimes, Cam. He doesn't hate you." She says with a snort.
"He does, he told me, and he said it again last night. That's why Mikey and I were talking earlier in my room." I whisper back to her, and she looks at me pensively for a moment.
"I have a theory, stick with me. I don't think he dislikes you at all. I think he dislikes that he can't have you." It's my turn to snort at her this time. She doesn't know that he can have me because all he'd have to do is ask. No way does her theory make sense.
"You're kidding. That's the stupidest theory I've ever heard! I mean have you seen him!? He's gorgeous and confident he could pull anyone he wants. Why the hell would he bother with me." I retort, a sinking feeling in my stomach taking over. He'd never waste his time on me, that'd be stupid.
"You're hot Cam. He knows it, I know it, we all know it." I roll my eyes at her and say nothing, picking at the frayed hole in the knee of my jeans silently.
"I'll bet you right now." She whispers, unwilling to just drop it.
"I'm not betting on that you hag." I laugh and nudge her shoulder with mine. We pull into the mall just then, and her and I walk fast to leave some space between us and the boys.
"I'm still betting you anyway. He wants you and I know it." She giggles at me, clasping our hands together and swinging them as we walk into a store.
"Why is it that I'm a third wheel to my girlfriend and sister?" Ashton whines from behind us. Kay and I stop walking and turn to look at the boys behind us.
"Because she loves me more, idiot." I say to him with a smile, Kay leans over and kisses my cheek, making us both break into hysterics.
We spend hours shopping for the night ahead. I started to get frustrated, and the boys were being rowdy since they were hungry. I finally ended up deciding on a short plaid skirt that fit snugly around my hips and thighs. I already know the maroon cropped shirt I have that'll look perfect with it. It has a deep v neckline, showing almost too much cleavage. I'll wear sheer black tights since it's cold, and heeled black boots to boost my height a few inches. It's nothing too fancy, but it'll do. Kay ends up with a tight black dress with open sides that lace all the way up.
For me, it's a riskier outfit. So much of me wants to get a rise out of him. I know he doesn't care, and no amount of skin will make him. I'm dressing for myself, because I want him to know what he lost. At least that's what I'm telling myself, but it'd hardly make any head turn no matter how hard I tried. Especially not his.
We make our final purchases with cheers from the bored boys we dragged along. We get back to the car and immediately the argument over where to eat begins.
