Chrollo's POV
It's been almost a month since I sent (Y/N) with Hisoka to go take the Hunter exam. I hope she's okay. Hisoka can be a bit...unique when he's around people. I was currently looking up research about those ancient scripts that were locked up inside the case (Y/N) came out of."Boss, we got some more topics on those things you've asked for!" Shalnark tossed up a stack of papers. I didn't waste any time going through every section of the pages. 'That's it!' I finally got the clue as I grabbed an old book from my shelf.
I flipped to a page where it talks about the "History of the Shurah." Hired executioners that know how to murder their victims in new different ways. The language on their cloaks matched the writing on (Y/N)'s box.
Which means... I slapped my book shut and stood up from my chair. "Shalnark, Franklin. Go to the Hunter exam, and bring (Y/N), quickly! I'll explain everything once you get back!" They nodded and dashed out the door.
"Is (Y/N) alright?" Pakunoda came rushing into the main room as she had a worried look plastered onto her face. "I'm not sure, yet. She was locked in that box for a reason." I gave Pakunoda the book and explained everything.
"(Y/N) was meant to be the next victim of the Shurah's execution. Since her execution failed, everyone infers the village had to die for it. Luckily, (Y/N) somehow escaped in the chest. I'm not entirely sure, but I think the Shurah might still be looking for her."
(Y/N)'s POV
"Time for the final challenge, dear~" Hisoka smiled down at me and opened the door. I raised an eyebrow and pointed at his messy hair. "Oh, this~? Illumi and I had gotten into a little fight. Don't worry about it~"'Well, when you say that, it makes me concerned!' Hisoka picked me up and carried me towards the twin doors. "(Y/N)-chan!" Gon yelled out my name as he and Killua ran to greet me.
"Come stand next to us!" I wiggled out of Hisoka's arms and followed them towards the wall. The Chairman pulled out a board with our pictures on them. 'Does my hair look like that?'
The Chairman explained that we had to fight and win to earn our license. I for one did not like this idea. It depends on who I'm fighting, but I also didn't want to fight anyone. I'm not much of a fighter.
But Chrollo-nii said I need to come home with a license, so I guess I have no other choice. First up was Gon fighting against that ninja guy. I patted Gon on the back, basically pushing him onto the platform.
Killua laughed as we waved him good luck.
~time skip: (゜o゜)~
Gon's opponent broke his arm as he was being pinned to the floor. 'If this is what it takes to be a Hunter, then I don't want any part of it...' I hugged Hisoka's leg as I watched Gon getting pointed at with a sword.
"(Y/N) taught me that I needed to try even harder if I want to see my dad!" Gon stared at his opponent with a cold-blooded gaze. "Gon! She punched the living daylights out of you, man. I don't think that taught you anything."
Killua groaned out loud, which made everyone turn towards me. I shrugged and pretended that I didn't do anything. Hisoka patted me on the head as he chuckled at my behavior. "Hey! Don't deny your strength. Gon and I see potential in you."
Killua side glanced at me, which I blushed a little at his compliment. "Pay attention, my dear~" Hisoka gestured towards the match, which I saw Gon passed out on the floor. I winced at his injuries as the examiner took him away.
"(Y/N)! You're next!" Hisoka patted my back before pushing me out there. "Why is she just standing there? Where's her opponent?!" Leorio called out, making everyone's eyes turn towards me.
"That would be me." A sickening laugh came out from one of the examiners. They pulled off their sunglasses and suit to reveal a cloaked figure. 'The Shurah.?' My eyes widened in fear as I stared up at them.
I glanced at Illumi, who was still in his disguise. He just shrugged his shoulders. He didn't know there was one left. "(Y/N) of the (L/N) clan. You have broken many laws of our village. You will come home and you will be executed."
I shook my head and stepped back. The Shurah grabbed me by the neck and pulled me up to their height. "I can't kill an applicant, or else I'll be sent off." Their grip had gotten tighter as I tried to gasp for air.
"But I can beat you." The Shurah threw me against the wall, but I refused to get injured by that. "(Y/N)! Come on! Don't lose to this idiot!" Killua swung his skateboard around as the Shurah threw a sharp object next to Killua.
"Come on! Show us who you are!" The Shurah laughed in insanity as they walked towards me and ripped my mask off. "We know you want to!" I stood up and glared at the Shurah in anger.
My sharp teeth and tongue started to show. I was ready to pounce on the Shurah for putting me in that state. The Acid Drool coming from my mouth drips down my tongue, making solid holes in the floor.
Killua stomped on the floor and yelled out with rage. "(Y/N)! Don't do it! This guy just wants to provoke you!"
~flashback~
"She's not a monster! Sure, she may have an abnormal mouth, but she's perfectly harmless!" My older sister pushed me out of the way my parents slashed at her instead. "Kuroko-nee?"
My sister smiled and pulled out a small box. "(Y/N)... You need to learn to control your Nen abilities." My sister unwrapped the ribbon and pulled out a mask with kanji writing on it. "Remember, have self-control. Don't show anyone. Don't hurt anyone."
My sister slipped the mask onto my face as she hugged me afterward. "You're a good kid."
~flashback ends~
"She won't do it. She's too scared because she thinks she'll get rejected." I frowned and closed my mouth. The Shurah smirked as one of the examiners walked up to us. I couldn't take it anymore...
As soon as the examiner came forward, I couldn't help but shred him to pieces. And so... I walked out and ran back to the Phantom Troupe's hideout.
