I was standing in some kind of a trial hall, all my classmates around me. Their eyes were glued to the screen, I heard Chiaki's screams that were filled with agony and. . . Hope.
How did I ended up here?!
I covered my eyes and tried to find an exit, but the door we came through was closed. "My! My! Look at the rebel!" I heard her sickening voice. "Playing hard to get eh? You're filled with so much despair, but you just won't give up! How amusing~" Junko sneered. "You'll bring me so much pleasure when I'll break your mind!" Her high pitched giggle soon turned into a loud maniacal laugh. "Hold on Chiaki! I'm coming!" I yelled as my voice echoed through the vast room.
I tried to kick the door open, but as I did so my leg stung with dull pain. "Don't bother. This door is made of pure titanium, there's no possible way you can break it." Junko laughed again. "Your desperate attempts are so funny!" The crazy blonde continued taunting me.
"Laugh while you can! I'll make you pay!" I growled as I tried to open the door again and again. At the end I lost my temper and began banging on the door with my fist, as if it would help. . ."Hope. . . It'll never loose." I heard Nagito say. "Wait!" I limped towards the fluffy haired guy and tried to close his eyes. So his hopeful grey-green eyes stopped seeing the terrible scene of our classmate's suffering.
. . . No use. . .
"The despair in your eyes! It's so beautiful!" Enoshima gasped in awe. "Did you really think that if you close your eyes you'll stop despair?!" Her attitude changed drastically. "I'll never forgive!" Nagito grumbled as spirals formed in his eyes.
"Now, my dear remnants of despair. Why won't you show our little rebel the true resemblance of despair?!" She spoke. Suddenly, everyone turned towards me. Slowly cornering me as I limped away. Within counted seconds my former classmates tackled me to the ground and picked me up by holding my arms and legs. They forcefully dragged me towards the screen that showed desperate Chiaki. "N-no! Let me g-go!" I protested and tried to free myself, but their grip only tightened. I closed my eyes trying not to look at the horrible video.
"Quite persistent I see." Junko said, annoyance clearly heard in her voice. Someone opened my eyelids, I couldn't take it anymore and I opened them. Seeing all my friends like this. . . Trying to get me to fall for despair. . . I felt truly awful. But I couldn't give up! It's all Junko's fault! She made them like this! I mustn't lose hope. I looked at Chiaki, she was desperately searching for the exit. And as she reached it she was pierced with hundreds of spears. This scene. . .
How my closest school friend was choking on her own blood. . .
How she tried to crawl away. . .
It filled me.
.
.
.
With so much hope.
A silent shriek escaped my lips as it quickly turned into a loud yell of anger mixed with bitter sadness. With one strong jolt I broke free of everyone's grasp and ran towards the titanium door. "Get her!" One command from her and everyone dashed towards me. I was yet again cornered, but to my luck I came up with a plan. I took a few steps towards Nekomaru who instantly dashed towards me, I quickly dodged his attack that resulted in him hitting the door behind me.
"I'm sorry." I mumbled as I began running down a weird hallway, as everyone chased after me. Akane was the fastest of all, she almost got me but I somehow managed to dodge her plunge and turned to the right. I continued running until I spotted Nagito.
