Chapter 36

Naomi's POV

"What do you mean my marriage license," I said

How the hell do I have a marriage license and why didn't I know about this shit. "Do you know anything about this," I asked my father, "That's the thing I don't know shit anymore because my wife hid things and lied to me," he said rubbing his head in frustration, "What a prefect marriage," Luca said rolling his eyes still holding my hand. "Here is the licenses and the papers that are in your name Ma'am," the black suit guy said walking over to me handing me the file, "I'll bring the rest of the paperwork to y'all tomorrow," he said walking to the door.

"So are you going to read the license and tell us who you are married too," my brothers asked me, "No, I need time think before opening this file," I said getting out of my chair as Cole stays by my side, "Naomi, don't forget that we are here for you," Franco said to me as I look at him and the others, then head to the Jeep with Cole. "So what are you going to do, Boss" Cole said "I don't know, Cole" I said trying to understand what happen in the house, "I just don't understand why and how," I told him, "Maybe to protect you in a way," he said making me thinking about he just said.

"We need to go to my office," I told him as he started the truck and headed to my apartment where my office was. In my office there are old reports from the years when I was a baby, some of the reports talk about events that happened or secret meetings that happened but those reports came from my father who was too lazy to read through them and just gave me the reports.When we got to my apartment Cole and I took out thirty report books from my shelf in my office.

Three hours later...

Cole and I have read almost twenty reports books. "Naomi, just open up the damn file please because I really don't want to stay here all night," Cole said, giving me the file, "I'm scared, Cole. I don't know if I'm going to be happy or sad when I find out who this person is," I told him, looking down at the file, "Naomi, I have known you for four mouths now , and I see a strong woman who wants the truth and I think that you deserve it, so open the file for you, not for me or your family and if you need the truth just get it," he told me pointed at the file. "Can I have the room," I told him as he left my office.

I took a deep breath, let it out and opened the file. The first thing I saw was my mother's hand writing on the letter as a single tear rolled down my cheek.

The Letter

My dear Naomi ,

As You read this letter means that I'm no longer here with you as I was getting sicker be the days passing so I had to write this letter.  I know you are confused and scared right now and I wanted to tell you since the day it happened but you were just a newborn but I wanted you to know that I did it because I wanted to protect you Naomi from your father and people who wanted you. I saw the way he looked at you, I immediately knew that he was going to try to turn you into a monster just like him because your brothers were too scared to fight and were too innocent to be his dream children, so I arranged a marriage for you to marry one of my closest friend's son who was starting to be interested of you when you turned four.

We placed your signatures on the license when it was your thirteenth day with us. I know there could be so many different ways to protect you my love, but I have a feeling that your spouse is going to love you in a way that your father and I couldn't do as we couldn't even love each. Just try to love your spouse even if you don't want him, you too can protect each other. Just remember my love that I've always loved you,Naomi.

P.S: Naomi fell in love for you and only you, my love.

The end of the letter

When I was done reading the letter, tears came running down my face as I felt so many emotions. But one thing that made it better was my mother saying that she loves me and wants me to fall in love. But I'm alright in love with Leo, I can't leave him for my . I grabbed the license just to see the back of it. I wiped my tears away and flipped the license over to see
