Don't fall in love [BOOK ONE]

Chapter 4

Naomi POV:

"Here. let me help you up" he said grabbing my hand pulling me up from the floor,"You need to watch out where you're going, sweetheart. I don't want to hurt you now" he said, using those cute little nickname making my heart go fast. "Sorry, I'm was just in a rush," I said as we walk to my locker, "Where are you heading from," he said "Advanced Math," I said looking for my calculator,"So, You're Smart and Beautiful, you just surprise me more and more," he said. "I'll see you around Leonardo," I said, I taking a small step away from him but pulled me back to him "Naomi stop saying my name like that," he said making it sound like a warning. "Like what," avoiding eye contact with him, staring at his chest "Like I didn't kiss you last night," he whispered tensely, now having my back against the lockers. "It was just kiss Leonardo," i lied knowing damn well that kiss was more then a 'just'. "Look me in the eyes and tell me that kiss was just more that a kiss," he said, leaning closer to me. " It-" I stopped getting interrupted by the ringing of Leonardo's phone, "I have to go to class," I said sliding out of Leo's trap, going back to my class.

"Happy that you decide to join us Ms.Russo Your brother already introduce himself so I guess it's your turn Ms. Russo," said the math teacher. I took a deep breath, clearing my head after what happened in the hallway with Leonardo "Hi, I'm Naomi as you know that my brothers and I are from Rome, Italy and the sad thing is that I'm the only girl in a family of five brothers," I said making some students lightly giggled. I went to go sit with Franco in the back of the class. But I saw him flirting with some random girl so I sat next to another black girl with tattoos all over her right arm. "Hi, I'm Naomi," "I'm Jade," she said " Cool name," I said.

During class Jade and I become best friends right away. And the good thing was that we are both sophomores and gave each other phone numbers to one another.

3 hours later

The school day was short because it was the first day of school so I said bye to Jade. Before the boys and I had to go home, we went to one of our warehouses to check on the gang and meet the members. We walked into the warehouse to see some people training, checking the guns, counting money, and dealing some drugs. I pull out Nicolo's gun from the back of his pants and shot up in the air pointing to the sky to get everyone attention in the warehouse,"OK NOW THAT I HAVE YOUR ATTENTION, MY BROTHERS AND I ARE YOUR NEW BOSSES NOW BECAUSE  THE BIG GUY TOLD US TO COME HERE TO FIX Y'ALL SCREW UPS, OK" I said looking dead into everyone's eyes. I turn my head to see my brothers with wide scared eyes.

"You sound just like Father," Marcello said, "Mar don't forget that I have a gun in my hand, okay,"I told him.

My father and I relationship is not a normal father and daughter relationship, since I was adopted I was taught to be tougher and better than my brothers, we didn't do father-daughter dances at my schools, we just watched other fathers and daughters smile and laugh whiling dancing. He hurts others to make me listen to him when I don't obey his orders.

Flashback:

It's was the middle of spring break. Father took me to the wood to do something or he says " It's your time to come to the real world." I didn't know what that met but when I got to the end of the woods I see a little boy tied up around a tree crying for help, calling for his mother, and with open cuts on his body. I felt so sorry for him, I was just six years old and crying for someone I didn't know, I wanted my mommy too but she was dead. I was pulled out of my thoughts, to feel of something in my right hand, something heavy but still lightweight, it's one of my father's handgun, "You know what to do, Naomi" said my father, whispering in my ear.

Now I know what he means. It's my time and it was my time to join the family business/ the mafia.

And to do that I had to kill the crying boy in front of me, I pointed the gun at the boy's head because if I didn't shoot him, father is going to hurt my brothers and I don't want that. So once I pulled the trigger everything when BANG!

End of the Flashback

Franco is the only person that knows that story. Since he was the person to find me crying in the garden after.

After a few hours with the members, we went home, did our homework, and played board games. "You owe me 200 dollars for boardwalk," Nicolo said as Franco pays Nicolo with the fake monopoly money. We played until we got tired and called it a night.

As I was comfortable in my bed, yet I couldn't sleep by tapping on my window. I walked up to the window to see Leonardo on the beach smiling at me. I went outside on the beach in my silk nightgown.

"What are you doing here"

"Nice to see you too, bellissima" (beautiful)

"I also wanted to tell you some important"

"What's it, Leonardo?"

"I like You, Naomi"
