Chapter 46

Naomi's POV

"WHAT," he yelled, but I covered his mouth, "Keep your voice down, only you and Father know," I told him, closing his door, "What about Leo, does he know huh," he said, "No, he doesn't know," I told him, pacing around the room.

"You have to tell him. He will keep you safe from Ivan"

"I can't, Ivan wants me, he forced himself on Sarah because he wanted me and who knows what he would do if y'all get in the way"

"So what are you going to do huh Naomi. Stay here in New York Until he finds you and takes you away from all of us" he said as I look down at the floor, "You are my only sister, my best friend, and the only person that can understand me. I'm not letting that bastard take me away," he said, pulling me into his arms.

" I know, you want to be on your own but I can't lose you, Naomi," he said as I started to cry in his chest, " Luca," I said his name softly, "Shh, I know, you're scared but you can't just fight alone all the time," he said, rubbing my back.

"I miss mama," I told him, thinking about how my mother used to hold me when I'm scared or sad, "I miss her too," he said, as I cried more, "Our family has losted too much over the years. We can't last you too, okay," he said, as a single tear slides down his cheek, "If you die, I'll die with you," he said, holding me tighter.

"No," I said, pushing Luca, "You c-can't say that," I told him, wiping my tears away from my sleeve, "Naomi," he said, looking at me with sadness, "I-I don't want to think about you or the others dying. I don't want to see you die. And I don't care if I die or not, promise not to leave our brothers and your future behind because of me, you need to be the one to tell them that I was happy-," I paused as tears stream down my face.

"I was happy and did it because I loved of y'all and Leo,"

"Naomi-,"

"I know it may sound selfish but it's not," I said.

"I know Nao," Luca said, walking over to me, "So what are you going to do," he asked me, "Huh," I said lifting my head to look at him, "What are you going to do to make sure that Ivan can't get to you, our family and Leo, Naomi," he said.

"I will need Kai and my partner's help," I said to him, "And who's your partner," he asked, arching his right eyebrow, "It's a secret," I told him, feeling the mood in the room light up, "Ugh, okay, sis," he said, turning down into my goofy Luca, "Since you are all better, go home to Leo and get some sleep," he told me, walking me to the door.

"Wait, are you going to tell the others," I asked him, "No, because Franco and Marcello will try to kill Ivan and Abramo and Nicolo will kidnap you and send you to Italy with Nonno," he said, "Thank you," I said hugging him.

"But if Ivan finds you and tries to take you to Russia, I'm coming for you, Naomi," he told me.

I got home, changed into my nightgown, and climbed into bed with a sleeping Leo on the other side, laying my head on his bare chest as he wraps his arms around me. "One day, I'll give you a ring and a wedding as I get to see you walk down the aisle and you saying I do as I'll be the happiest man to marry you, my love" he said softly and kissing my head.

"I love you"
