Gon Freecss POV
People were making out in all sorts of places and puking into empty chips bags
It actually annoyed Gon that nobody was wearing an actual costume.
This is incredibly embarrassing I went all over town looking for a wig and for what ?? I feel even more bad since aunt mito lent me so much money to buy this
Killua led him to the nearest couch ,where a stranger happened to be drooling all over it
"Hey!" Killua kicked the dude off
Gon grimaced in remorse
Killua grabbed the nearest cup which he doubted was clean and poured himself a drink
"Bloody Mary?"
"Bloody what?"
"Never mind"
They sat in complete silence as the party around them seemingly intensified. Drinking like crazy , acting like typical High schoolers Or college students who were trying to hold onto their youth for as long as possible
'Say Amen' by Panic! At the disco was playing in the background Which seemed to get everyone in a mood because most were up and dancing badly to it in their drunken state
"...ry"
"Hm?" Gon turned to look at Killua whose face was completely red and He couldn't tell whether it was from the alcohol or what he had just said
Killua sighed "I said I'm sorry!" His voice entangled with the party but that was now white noise This time Gon heard him , loud and clear
He smiled slightly "Sorry for what?"
"Sorry for being a dick to you for the past days" He replied "Sorry for not being a good friend , sorry for being ignorant, I'm sorry for not being a good tutor"
The tanned boy nodded "Yeah I've noticed that you hardly ever actually teach me anything, we always seem to get distracted" He chuckled a bit shifting in his seat "Isn't that weird?"
Gon looked at Killua but his expression was unclear. He wasn't good at "reading the room" or people, nonetheless
"So..." Kil' stared
"So...?"
"You forgive me right?"
Gon smiled wholeheartedly "Yes! Of course! I hate being angry especially at you"
Killua smiled back and sipped at his glass of ... whatever it was he was drinking
"But no more chickening around right? I really want to get good grades this term"
Kil' shook his head violently it almost scared the poor boy "Yes of course we'll be completely focused on you..." They both stared at each other
"... I-I mean on you passing, we'll be focused on you passing.."
"Y-Yeah!" Gon agreed as he looked away from him shyly
"Great" Killua said
Now look Gon would've like to say that they both just sat there enjoying each other's company but life just loves to throw curveballs at him and they don't stop coming
"HEY WHo *hiccups* WHo WANTS TO PLAY TRUTH OR WARW"
Despite Leorio's drunken state and slurred words it seemed as though a large proportion of the crowd understood every single word and roared in approval
Killua scowled and rolled his eyes as people rushed toward the tall intoxicated male "Who even still plays T or D it's literally so stupid,"
"Maybe you're just scared that you'll get asked an embarrassing question or a risky dare" Gon started as he smirked and crossed his arms "You'll probably back out because you're chicken"
Killua's eyes trailed to him and he furrowed his eyebrows "Who the hell do you think I am goodwill boy?"
Gon was taken aback by this It had been a while since he'd heard that nickname This got him even more fired up "Aight bet!"
He got up from his seat And killua copies him
"You answer truth every time and I'll answer dare every time , deal?" Gon put his hand out his face painted in competitiveness and determination
Killua shrugged and shook the other boys hand Little did he know that that same deal would be their down fall in less than twenty four hours
"Deal!"
