⚘Chapter Three⚘

I pulled up to the yard to find my boyfriend's car parked and an unknown vehicle. It was a red Corvette and the license plate said "Bad2tbne" on it. I grabbed the bags and Aurora, locked my car doors and up the stairs in the house. When I finally get in the house I hear some laughing and a woman talking. I went into the living room and there was a woman all hugged up on Amos.

I cleared my throat, "Um what's going on in here?" I said. Amos jumped up in a flash and walked around the girl. "Hey Keyann. How was work?" he said. "Fuck all that. I asked what was going on here. You have company and didn't let me know?" I said calmly. He looked back at the girl and back at me. I raised my eyebrows at him. He looks back at me and smiles, "Baby this is the woman who is going to be at the event tomorrow night and we are invited." He said.

"Okay exactly what event because you never told me this and I gave Lori the weekend off." I said. "Well, I was going to tell you and I need my girlfriend to be there with me." He said. "Well I needed to talk to you anyways so, if you don't mind, can you ask your guess to leave." I asked nicely. He stood there for about two minutes and I stared back at him. I really needed to speak with him about everything that was going on and I needed to be honest about this shit.

"Carla, I am sorry to cut this short but I will call you and make sure you made it home. We can discuss more of the projects tomorrow morning." he said. "Wait a minute! She is a grown ass woman and she can take care of her damn self. Look move!" I pushed him out the way and walked almost towards the woman's face. "Listen cupcake, unless its work related you can call him tomorrow. You will not disrespect me or my daughter by answering a late night phone call for your safety. Got it?" She stood there and nodded her head then she looks at Amos from behind me. "No honey, look this way at me, I am his girlfriend and that's his daughter in the car seat. If I find anything out about you, it will be my pleasure in finding you and whooping your ass. You feel me? Oh wait, you work with my boyfriend haha, I know where to find you. Goodnight." I said.

She walked out the door and Amos was just standing there. When she got to the front door, I grabbed Aurora and walked down to the bedroom. I took her out of the car seat and laid her in her crib. I put some soft music for her and left out the room. I walked back down the hallway to see that Amos was pouring him a glass of Jack Daniels and he sat down. "So what is it that you want to talk about?" he said.

"Oh your ready to talk now, after all this time and arguing. You want to finally hear what I have to say?" I said standing with my arms crossed. "Look Keyann, I do not have time for this-" I interrupted him. "Yes the fuck you do have time. I need to know what is with you with not acknowledging your child? And what's with that half- white ass bitch that just left from here?" I said.

"First of all she is who I said she is. She works with me and I invited her over here to talk about the event." He said. I walked towards him. "Okay and what about your daughter?" I asked. "Look, I already have enough sleeping problems with that thing in the house and besides you complain too damn much for me. And also, I do want to mention this to you. There is going to be some changes in this damn house. Your not broke, you have money, a job and whatever else you have." He said. "And what does that supposed to mean?" I said.

"It means that after tomorrow a change is going to be made. And that's all you need to know. Now, I am going to have a drink with the guys tonight. And don't wait up for me." he said as he grabbed his keys and I grabbed his arm. "Amos, please don't do this, you know how much I love you. Why are you doing me like this? What can I do to make you happy?" I said. He turned around and jerked his arm back from me. "You know what you can do for me? You can leave me the fuck alone and the baby that you set me up with is along with that package. I don't even know why I went that far with you anyway. You didn't mean anything to me and a baby definitely didn't change me. So like I said, don't wait up." He walked out the door and sped off in his car.
