"You can't be serious. Come on Michael." I spoke. We were at the grocery store. Michael was holding my sweet child while I pushed the cart through the aisles and he couldn't figure out what snacks he wanted. And I was having cravings out the ass right now.
"Babe you know I have a sweet tooth but they all just looks so good. Ain't that right kitten." He tapped on Auroras nose and she giggled. My baby girl was moving up while little one was moving on different sides of my stomach. It has been a peaceful five months and on the side.. I was at peace.
But Michael said that he wanted to just drop Amber like a bad habit so that we could move on. He got so angry when he spoke this. He didn't want to do it but he had to for the sake of us and our unborn child.
"Okay so we finally chosen.. Oreos, Doritos and some sugar cookies." He laughed as babygirl clapped her hands, drooling at the same time.
"Okay baby. I think we need to get moving, this little one is feisty and I'm hungry.. I mean we are hungry." I spoke. We walked around toward the deli and everything looked so good including the pasta salads. Pastrami was an all time favorite but I couldn't have too much hot, peppery stuff.
"Ugh, hold on little one.. I might get some ice cream oooh.. no a donut." I left Michael and baby girl there only for a moment while I darted to the bakery. These cravings were whooping my ass.
"Hmm... which one? Chocolate or glazed." I said rubbing my belly and looking inside the donut case. I actually liked this store.. every flavor spoke volumes.
Michael
Life would seem to be getting easier a little with babygirl and my future wife and my baby to be. I was happier than ever. We were by the meat department when someone tapped my arms.
"Yes?"
"Wow, Mr. Jackson.." Amber's cousin was staring right in front of me. I knew we should have went to a different store but this was one of my favorites.
"What do you want?" I spoke. She tilted her head to the side. Looking between me and Kitten. This wasn't good.
"Well, call me a party pooper but my cousin is wrong as fuck and I want to be the one to tell you that she's been cheating on you." She said.
"Wait.. what did you say?" I said shaking my head because I wasn't sure if I heard correctly. She took a breath and let it all out.
"For the past four years, my cousin has been cheating on you and I can't hold it in much longer. It's some Amos guy, she kept calling me about and sadly me and her never been close.
I never liked her because she had a way of cheating in her life and I hate this happened again. She thinks that money and precious stones is the life. And I don't like it at all. Please, hear me out, I am telling you to let her go.. she's not worth it really. I'm sorry about your marriage. I just don't condone in shit like this." She said as I was in shocked and she walk a few steps away and turned.
"I'm sorry Mr. Jackson. Me and my husband are both sorry. Your a good man and you deserve what your heart desires. Take care!" She finally leaves, wiping the sides of her eyes leaving the store.
I kept my mouth open a little and almost forgot babygirl was in my arms. I knew she was cheating but just to hear it being confirmed. Keyann was right too. I needed to drop her today, glad I signed the divorce papers early.
Two Hours Later...
Keyann paced back and forth running her fingers through her hair. For the past hour, we talked about what happened and now the anger fell over Keyann. But she was erratically calm.
"This is just wild, the whole time... I thought I was the fucking fool and he was the one who was being a fool. I love you Michael and I am sorry for getting upset but you didn't deserve any of this." She paused only to wipe her eyes constantly and then she broke down, "You didn't deserve-" she covered her face balling her eyes out.
I quickly jumped up and hugged her. Hushing her and calming her down. "Baby just think about us now.. listen." I pulled her off to look at me. She was now more emotional since the pregnancy so I had to keep her calm most of the time.
"It's not your fault, call it fate. If none of this happened, I would be still miserable with Amber. Ever since then I have been the happiest man on earth. Believe me, baby you just don't know how happy I am. But there's only one thing I must have to do." I said.
She looked at me as I wiped her tears, "I have to get my life back and divorce Amber. I am not battling with her because there's only one woman for me and that's you."
Later on that day...
I was on the phone talking to my lawyer. For reconciling differences, I was serving the documents to Amber. I just can't see myself doing this to Keyann and also to myself. I hung up, taking a deep breath. I opened the drawer, revealing the wedding ring I had bought.
"So this is goodbye." I said as I placed the ring inside its case and planned on pawning it tomorrow. It was a half- million dollar ring. I didn't want it, I didn't need it. It is time to move forward. I called Keyann as she was dropping babygirl off to Mama K house we decided to work on our own nursery since we haven't started yet.
"Hello?" I spoke clearing my throat. I hear babygirl in the background and Mama K talking.
"Hey meet me to my house. I'm heading back there to call things off with Amber. I just really need to do this. Please." I asked.
"Yeah sweetie. I will do that. I'll be there, I promise." She said as I exhaled calmly from herring her voice.
"Okay. I'll see you there. Hey Keyann?" I said.
"Yes, Michael?"
"I love you." I said closing my eyes.
"I love you too." She said and I hung up the phone. That warm feeling that I felt in my spirit said I was doing the right thing. Keyann and Aurora are my world.
I drove down to the house, about an hour later and I pulled up to the house. My house stayed the same as I entered in the gates and parked. I got out and fished my keys out planning out the words to say because she is pregnant too and I had to be just as careful.
I opened the door and there she was. Sitting down in tears. I walked up slowly to her.
"Amber. Listen I-" I spoke as she looked at me, her eyes bloodshot red.
"You want a divorce right? I mean this-" she stands rubbing her belly. "This is why you leaving me, because of our baby?" She asked.
I felt my blood boil, "That's not my child and you know it. You been sleeping around and getting what you want for years. And with Amos? How could you, for a second, I thought we were happy."
"But Michael I- well. I'm sorry but I do love you. The love you shown that baby and your friend, I never had that. And I do understand why she loved you but.."
I stopped her, "Loved? No darling, she loves me for who I am. Not for what I have, not the money, the business and everything with my name on it. She loves all of me.. beyond everything that has happened. She still loves me, something you never did besides living that fabulous life.. I'm not famous, I'm not an artist or a celebrity.. I am human with emotions, I am Michael Jackson. Do you not understand that?" I said as I stood up and walked near her.
She nodded but I shook my head really fast. "You don't Amber. And yes, I am divorcing you. Whatever yours is yours, the rest is mine." I spoke.
"Are marriage has run its-"
She grabs and deeply kisses me unexpectedly and as I gently pushed off of her, realizing what just happened, I turned to see Keyann leaving.
"Keyann, Wait!"'
