No POV

The day was long, hard, and stressful. All he wanted to do right now was just fall asleep in bed and just sleep for the rest of the day. But he knew that he had to make dinner for him and his partner.

Flashback sound I guess

The beeping of the gingers alarm was loud, causing him to snap awake, it was the loudest alarm he had set meaning he had slept through the other three he had set. He sprung out of bed and bolted to the closet, obviously in a hurry, he quickly got distracted however by seeing himself in the mirror. He hates how femminine he looked and right now was not the time to hate how he looked, after all he needed to go to work. Quickly forcing himself out of his mind and getting dressed, running a comb through his messy orange hair he pulled on his hat after forcing his ears and tail away, hating having them out at work due to some prior experiences. He was in his work uniform of a white dress shirt and a pair of black jeans, somewhat causal but enough for his waiting job at the restureant. He ran down the stairs, seeing a piece of toast on a plate from his partner, he smiled softly, grabbed his keys, stuffed the toast in his mouth, grabbed his wallet, phone and shoved on some shoes before heading to his car to drive himself to work. Hoping for that little bit of realief at work, only for nothing to come of it. Waiting tables wasnt his favourite thing what so ever, he was just working there while trying to apply to more permanent work places, preferably somewhere he would do coding, what he went to school for rather then working at this stupid restaurant.

Whether it was the dude customers, the flirting from his one older coworker, or the misgendering by the same coworker, Fundy was not having a good day. The day just felt longer and longer as it went on, he was just trying to power through it. The small break he got at lunch he spent with his work friend Niki, she was always supportive of him and usually brought him lunch since her shift normally started after his, also she knew he could be forgetful sometimes and would forget to bring himself anything to eat and getting himself something from the kitchen can be a little risky. The two usually sat in the back in a booth just eating. Today was different, with Niki having to work, Fundy ran over to a near by sub shop and got himself a sandwich, eating it quickly before returning to his shift. Liquid spills, food thrown, things dumped near him or on him, it all had to occur today, he questioned just quittting on the spot but he knew he couldn't. He just felt so upset and tired. What made it worse was the fact that his boss came out and asked him to work a little overtime, which he agreed to for the money but god he did he just want it to end. He had to deal with people complaining about there drinks being wrong, even to the point where he got yelled at by a man who was clearly very very drunk for placing down the wrong drink in front of him. By the time this happened he was so done, he walked over and told his boss he was leaving, clocked out and drove home.

Back to the present

And that's where he was now, stuck in traffic, slamming his head into the wheel because of how horrible he felt. He just wanted to curl up in a ball and cry. He heard his phone start to ring, picking it up and seeing who it was, that little bit of happiness pinged in his heart. He pressed speaker and placed it in the concsal of his car as the familiar voice rang through the car. "Hey Fundy! I just called to ask why you weren't home yet?" His partner Eret asked "ugh, I worked a little over time and now I'm stuck in traffic" he said sounding very very defeated, a sound was heard on the other end of the phone as a few words were said before Eret responded "oh, alright honey, I'm gonna make us some dinner for when you get home so you don't need to agree anymore about anything" he said, Fundy smiled softly "thank you" he said softly. Eret laughed softly, goodbyes were exchanged before Fundy hung up. He was trying to focus on getting home. The drive was a pain and was a half hour compared to the usual 15 minutes it normally took him but finally, there he was, standing in front of the door, shivering because he hadn't brought a jacket that day and the temperate had dropped significantly.
