2 years later
It's been 2 years. We had a healthy baby boy. His name is Adrian Lycan. Aaron and I got married only a few months ago. And I am pregnant once again. It's going to be a girl this. My dad is coming home. He had no connection to us for a while. So be going to be surprised to see a two-year-old boy. I was still attending school as August. I find it funny because Adrian had a nanny. The world is given young women to live their lives. Ein, Aaron, Adrian, and I were a happy family. Let's hope our dad approves.
Ein: Ah Dad here.
Aph: Where's Adrian?
Aar: Sleeping in our room. He was cranky.
Aph: Aww.
Dad knocks on the door.
Z: Hello?
Ein opens the door.
Ein: Dad!
He jumps in his arms. Dad looked so happy to be home. He looks at me then at Aaron.
Z: Who this?
Aar: Hi, my name is Aaron Lycan.
Z: ...What relations are you to my kids?
He seemed tense.
Aph: Dad listen, Aaron and I are married.
Z: Without my blessing?
Aar: Well, we lose connection with you. So I couldn't ask.
Z: You couldn't have waited?
Aar: No- we have a son together.
Z: AH WHAT?
Ein: Dad please keep your voice down, he's sleeping.
Aph: Dad let me explain. Aaron has been helping us with everything. He has been working and Ein just got a job. Our bank told us, your account couldn't support us anymore. Aaron had to start working to even keep us in this house. Without him. Ein and I would have been on the streets. I love Aaron. Ein looks up to him as a brother. You don't have to like him, dad.
I grab Aaron's hand.
Aph: He part of our family now. And We apart of his family. I love him.
Aar: I love her. I don't want to lose her or Ein.
He seemed to calm down.
Z: I am so sorry. I didn't mean to come off as angry. I just wasn't expecting my kids to be all grown up. I am not sad about this I am shocked. May I see my grandson?
Aar: Heh- He'll be mad but you totally can.
Z: Oh?
Aar: I just put him down for a nap.
Z: I'll wait then.
Aph: Do you want anything to eat?
Z: Sure!
My dad, Aaron, and Ein sit down. I start making lunch.
Z: So Aaron how did you meet my daughter?
Aar: I knew Ein first, Aphmau 2 months older than me, but I met her while she was picking up Ein. Aphmau and I started talking over for a few months. I have been in love with her ever since.
Z: I see.
Ein: He taught me how to cook and clean!
Z: Your sister didn't?
Aar: No. Aphmau got sick really bad one day. Ein and I took on herself to give her a break. Aphmau gets breaks. She deserves breaks.
Z: Women don't get breaks.
Aaron sighs. I look over. Aaron seems angry again.
Aph: Hey baby, I think I heard our sweet little boy waking up.
Aar: Hmm?
Aph: Can you go check on him?
He sees what I am hinting at.
Aar: Oh, right I will.
He gets up and heads upstairs. He comes downstairs with Adrian. I run over to them
Adr: Mommy!
Aph: Hi sweetheart.
Adrian moves his arms out to me. I pick him from Aaron's arms.
Aph: How my boy?
Adrian just smiles at me. He looks over. And he points.
Adr: Who Dat?
I smile.
Aph: Your grandpa!
Adrian looks at him with a smile. He waves. I set him down. I finish lunch. Aaron and I were in the kitchen as Ein and Adrian were in the living room playing. Aaron doing the dishes and as I was putting away cups and plates.
Z: Why are you helping?
Aar: Because I want to.
Z: It's a-
Aar: Don't say it is a woman's job to clean up after everybody. I don't mind helping her. I had to do this back at home because my sister was too lazy to do anything.
Z: Why not teach her the ways?
Aar: Because I know better? She did her chores and I did mine.
Zack scuffs it off.
Z: I left for two years and things have changed.
Aar: They sure did.
I look at both of them. Something is different with my dad. He has been off since he has been home. I started to get this scared feeling. I felt this before. With Sylvanna. Fuck.
