Christmas Day

Christmas Morning

I woke up feeling sick to my stomach. I brushed it off. I got up and went downstairs. Ein was up and in the kitchen getting cookies I left for us to eat last night.

Ein: Morning Aph. Hey, you okay?
Aph: Yeah, I just felt blah when I woke up. Nothing to worry tho.
Ein: ah I see. Is Aaron waking up yet?
Aph: no sure. I hate to wake him though. He told me that he usually didn't get good sleep at his house. Now he's got good sleep.
Ein: maybe he was meant to be here.
Aph: yeah maybe.

I sat down at the table. I take out my phone.

Missed call from dad

Aph: shit.
Ein: what?
Aph: dad called.
Ein: call him then.

I call dad. He picks up.

Aph: you're awake?
Z: yes. Sorry. Aphmau I've got bad news. You know how I told you I'd be home next year. Make that in the next 2 years.
Aph: wait why?
Z: they don't tell me why. Not telling anyone why. They just are.
Aph: I'm sorry dad. You'll see us soon. Promise.
Z: I know. I should be saying that to you as a promise.
Aph: I know. I love you Dad.
Z: I love you too Mija. Merry Christmas.
Aph: Merry Christmas dad.

I hang up.

Ein: everything okay?
Aph: dad won't be home until two years later.
Ein: awe man.
Aph: it's okay though. He still with us. He's not gone. Dad is a nurse, he not on the battlefield fight.
Ein: You're right.

I stand up and hug Ein.

Aph: dad will come home to us. Safe.
Ein: I miss him you know.
Aph: of course. Why wouldn't I? It's dad. Besides we got Aaron. Not saying either can be replaced, and we aren't using him either.
Ein: heavens no. Aaron would be way too amazing to be used. He just a great person in general.
Aph: of course. Dad will like Aaron. I know it.
Ein: can I wake up Aaron?
Aph: sur-

Aaron comes down the stairs.

Aar: sorry I woke up late. I slept well.
Aph: Ein was just going to wake you.
Aar: oh heh. You okay Aphmau? You look kind of sick.
Aph: oh I feel fine. I just woke up bleh.
Aar: do you guys have coffee?
Aph: want me to make some?
Aar: can you?
Aph: of course. Ein do you want any?
Ein: ah Nah. I got my water. I don't want anything.
Aph: ah okay. Then you too go into the living room and turn the on Christmas music.
Aar: will do.
Aph: Aaron want any sugar?
Aar: no, just 1 cream tho.
Aph: got it.

Aaron & Ein went into the living room and turned on Christmas music. As I made Aaron his coffee.

I was thinking about It. My lady thing hasn't come yet. I stop. Wait.. morning sickness... I didn't feel good in the morning yesterday either. Am I- pregnant? I started shading. Maybe maybe it's just coming late... But it never hurt anyone to check though. The coffee finished and I poured some into a mug. I walk over to the living room.

Aph: here Aaron.

I hand his mug.

Aar: thank you.
Aph: hey Ein. Do you wanna run out to Walgreens with me and get candy?
Ein: ah sure! Why candy?
Aph: I just want to get Christmas candy before everyone gets here.
Ein: okay! But first presents!!
Aph: alright!

About 3 hours later.

I've gone ready to head to the store. Aaron stayed home and prepare things as Ein and I left. As we walked we talked about Christmas. He thanked me for everything I got him and I did the same. Once we got there I told Ein to look at Candy while I got a few chips. I went straight for the tests. I got in the aisle and saw it said free. I grabbed 3. I shoved it in my purse and got 3 bags of chips. I walk back to Ein.
