Blue Skies, Fluffy Clouds

It was 8. I was laying in my backyard staring up the sky. A blue sky and fluffy clouds. I usually spend my time outside. Then I heard the sound of the yellow bus. It was coming to pick up the boys. Bleh... Thought I really wanted to go to school. I couldn't. It's illegal... I stand up and walk back inside. My brother Ein picks up his backpack and gives me a hug.

Ein: cya sis!
Aph: bye Ein!

I watch him leave. Mom and dad were gone. I could finally read one of the books. In my world, girls aren't allowed to read. Almost ever girl on the planet couldn't read. But I was different. I could read. And I loved reading books. I ran to my father study and picked up the book called The Enchanted Ocean. My favorite book to read. I read the book until 3. I quickly place the book back on its shelf and run upstairs.

S: Mija! We are home!
Aph: Mama!

I run downstairs and hug her.

S: you seem awfully happy! How was your day? Did you watch the clouds?
Aph: of course!
Z: good. Aphmau sweetheart. Your brother staying after school today. At 5 can you go and get him?
Aph: of course!
Z: thank you darling.

Zack left the room. I head back upstairs. I sit on my bed. I got bored. I've had hidden a few books I stole from the library. I read of an hour.

Z: Aphmau!! You got 25 mins, before you pick up your brother!
Aph: okay!

I place my book in my hidden floor board. I freshen up in the bathroom. I leave the house.

A few mins pass.

While walking to the school. I saw this cute guy. He stared at me as I walked. I seen him before. His soft black eyes always stared at me. His eyes were comforting. And... I also ran into a pull.

I waited outside for Ein. I wasn't expecting for him to come up to me.

??: So.. who are you waiting for?
Aph: my brother Ein.
??: Oh- ive seen you before.

I nodded.

Aph: yea.. I've seen you before too. I do have to say. The school is pretty.
??: It is.
Aph: the name Aphmau by the way.
Aar: I'm Aaron.
Aph: well nice to meet you aaron!
Aar: same..

Ein comes out of the school.

Aph: hey Ein!
Ein: Hey sis!
Aph: ready to go home?
Ein: yes!
Aph: alright let's go. I'll cya you around... Aaron.

I smile at him. And he smiles back at me. I turned fast and started blushing. This is must how it felt for the girls in my books to feel when a boy talks to them. While we were walking home, Ein brings up Aaron.

Ein: you like that dude don't you?
I blush.
Aph: I have no idea what you are talking about.
Ein: Aphmau your blushing. You clearly like him.
Aph: okay! Maybe I do- a little.
Ein: heh- I'll get his number tomorrow for you so you can call him.

I stop. He gonna actually help me?

Aph: you do that?
Ein: sure! Your smart and pretty. I'd be darn if he didn't fall for you.

I smile at Ein. He smiles back. As we walk home. We can here screaming. Dad brust through the door.

Z: Well fine Sylvanna I don't care!
S: Get out of here Zack! You aren't WANTED!
Z: how the hell are you going to support yourself? Women like you, can't get a job Sylvanna! It's illegal for you too.
S: I'll find my own way too. I don't need you!
Z: whatever!

Zack turns and sees us standing there. Staring at them.

Aph: ...you two are getting divorce aren't you?
Z: ...I....
Aph: ... Well... Okay...
Z: you two come with me. Please!
Aph: ...okay...
Ein: sis what's happening?
Aph: ...it's nothing Ein..
Ein: oh okay. ...

The Del Campos family stood there outside with no words. No sound. They were frozen in time....
