It was not a surprise to me that a week later, during breakfast father announces that he is leaving again but for longer this time. He tells Terrell that he will be staying in the house again in his absence.
I try to hold back the tears but they pour from my eyes anyway. I push my chair back from the table and run over to him, throwing myself over my father's shoulders hugging him. He turns, rising from his seat, facing me he gives a smug look on his face as he leans down and kisses my forehead.
"I hate doing this to you, Grace. I love you more than anything. But I'm a busy man and if you want to keep living in this extravagant house with the nice things in it, I gotta leave to take care of business. I'll be going to Tuscany Italy this time, maybe once I get some things done, I'll send for you and Terrell." Father grabs my arms and wraps them around him, embracing me in a tight hug. He whispers that he loves me in my ear and then I watch as he pulls away, pushes his chair in and walks to the door to leave.
I hear the door close leaving Terrell and I alone in the house other than some of the kitchen staff cleaning up the table from breakfast.
I walk to the living room, tears still fresh in my eyes and on my cheeks. I sit down on the couch pulling the blanket from the other end, over me. I felt the couch dip beside me and feel Terrell wrap his arm around my shoulder pulling me onto his chest. I nestle my head into the crook of his neck and we just lay there watching the news.
After a couple hours of just watching different things on the tv I decide to go for a swim.
I slowly pull Terrell's hand off my leg, out from around my back and set it on his leg. He was sleeping so peacefully that I went against my better judgment and left him there.
I quietly slip into my room, change into my red bikini, grab a towel and then head down the stairs to walk out the back door.
I hold my breath jumping into the water. Warmth from the water covers me like a soft blanket. I swim around the pool for a while then switch to float on my back just watching the stars.
I hear the back door open and close then footsteps make their way to me. I do not even have to look up to know who they belong to.
I was waiting to hear him say something about not waking him or not letting him know I was going for a swim. Instead I hear a loud splash and then the waves start sloshing around splashing me in the face. I swallow a bit of the water which causes me to cough. I let my feet plunge into the water standing up. I look over at Terrell who has the biggest smirk on his face.
His teeth were shining in the starlight and his eyes were sparkling.
After the ball, father had told Terrell he could relax on wearing the mask since I saw his face. I found myself enlightened to hear that.
I watch as Terrell walks over to me, the water pushing away from him.
His shoulders were strong and carved out. His chest was chiseled from working out, his abs were prominent through the water.
I advert my eyes trying to remain respectful of him. As this is the first time he joins me in the pool and I do not wish it to be the last.
I watch the pump pushing the water out through the return hose trying to distract myself from the taunting thoughts about Terrell.
I feel him push himself against my back. His chest touching my back, his hands run up my arms leaving goosebumps in the wake of his touch. The hairs on the back of my neck begin to rise. His fingers trace my shoulders up to the sides of my neck, stopping just under my ears.
"Look at me Grace" his voice husky, and low.
I feel my body lock up and freeze in place.
Abruptly his hand wraps around the front of my neck, yanking my head to face him. I look into his eyes, seeing something I resemble in my own eyes; lust.
"What- what are you doing?" My voice is hoarse and causes me to stutter.
He smiles at me while running his hand along my hair, softly pulling my hair at the ends making me tilt my head up at his face. His eyes staring at my lips cause my heart to start pounding.
He leans down, my eyes close and I wait for him to kiss me but I feel nothing. I open my eyes to see him a couple centimeters away just holding my face to his. He looks in my eyes and smiles at me.

"For all the times you tried to tease me, it sure does feel amazing  to get revenge." I scoff, stomping my foot under the water making his grin only spread wider across his face. I try to pull away from his grasp only to feel him pull me back into him, turning me. My chest pushes against his.
I crane my neck up to look at him.
"You sit here and push me to my limits each and every chance you get us alone." His grip on my hair tightens. He steps closer, his body against mine. He traces the side of my face, resting his thumb on my cheek. I lean into his grasp, closing my eyes. I inhale breathing in his scent. I could smell his body wash and deodorant. He smells so wonderful. I open my eyes looking back up at him. I find Terrell watching me intently, his eyes glimmering in the lights from the pool. I wrap my arms around his waist holding onto him. I feel his arms snake around my lower back holding me to him. We just stood there in the quiet of the night standing in each other's embrace. I wish we could remain here for
forever.
I pull away from him smiling while looking at him. He smiles back. I watch as he reaches forward and softly grabs my chin with his hand. He runs his thumb across my lips. I watch him glance at my lips then back to my eyes. He slowly leans in and I watch as he closes his eyes and I feel his lips touch mine making me close mine.
Our lips move in sync, as we do, my heart beat begins to pound. I can taste the mintiest of his toothpaste and feel his soft, warm lips against mine. I feel him deepen the kiss, his tongue sliding across my lower lip encouraging me to open my mouth. His tongue slides in and swirls around mine.
His hands slide down my sides to my lower back and onto my butt. He grabs me and I automatically jump up, wrapping my legs around his waist and my hands wrap around his neck.
Terrell walks forwards, his lips still on mine as I feel the water move past us and over my legs. My back quickly meets the cold edge of the pool and I feel a shiver run through me. I lightly moan into his mouth which causes him to push me harder into the side of the pool. I reach up and run my fingers through his wet hair, entangling my fingers in his curls. I hear a faint groan arise from his throat.
Terrell pulls away from me, his eyes remain closed and he rests his forehead on mine.
Silence fills my ears as the only thing that I can hear is the faint sound from the pool pump, and our labored breathing.
I close my eyes and I feel Terrell lift his head from mine and then I feel his lips kiss my forehead. His hands set me down onto my feet standing up in the water.
"It's late we should get inside." Terrell walks towards the stairs, I keep my eyes on his back and watch as he gracefully walks out of the water.
I watched as he shook his hair and then wrapped a towel around his waist after drying his chest off. He turns to face me, noticing I was staring at him.
I make my way over to the stairs and out onto the concrete. A slight breeze covers my body in goosebumps as I feel Terrell drape a towel across my shoulders. I cling to the warmth from it as we head back inside.
Terrell walks me to my room, when approaching the door I stop and look back at him. A small smile creeps onto his lips which causes me to smile back. I close the distance between us and fling my arms around his shoulders hugging him. I stand on my top toes trying to be closer to his face but not even stretching helps. He notices what I was trying to do and leans down and pecks my lips. He pulls away before I can even kiss him back and steps back from me, my arms falling down at my sides.
"Grace. We need to keep what happened tonight, between us. No one is to know." I I inhaled sharply and exhaled loudly.
"You're ashamed of me aren't you?" I say looking down at my feet, a lump forms in my throat. Suddenly I feel his hands grabbing my shoulders and pushing me against the wall. Before I could get any words out he kisses me with a strong force. I find myself kissing back within seconds. He reaches up and entangles his fingers in my hair keeping my head still.
Terrell breaks the kiss only to start placing succulent and tender  kisses down my neck. The sensation from his lips on my neck forces a small moan to escape from the back of my throat.
He stops and puts his hands on either side of my face, looking in my eyes.
"Believe me, I'm far from ashamed of you Grace. I just want to do this right by your father and get his blessing before we go too far." He tucks a lose hair behind my left ear and leans in. "Because if I didn't have the amount of respect for you, I'd be taking you to bed right now." His husky voice rang in my ear.
"Then why don't you?" My voice was thin and shaky as I responded.
"Because I don't want to break your heart if your father doesn't grant our relationship." He sighed loudly and kissed my forehead and backs away from me. "Good night Grace. I'll see you in the morning."
I wave goodbye and then head into my room. Once I close the door I jump on my bed with a huge smile on my face. I touch my lips and feel warm and giddy from his touch.
I laid there daydreaming of what it would be like to date him. Soon sleep came over me and I fell asleep even before I took my bikini off.
