Time passes by slowly as Terrell drives us to the hospital. I have so many questions but I feel so tired and lethargic to even open my mouth. I let my head fall back on the headrest closing my eyes. I can finally rest knowing I am safe.

Terrell reaches over and touches my shoulder lightly making me jump out of my sleepy state. I look over with wide eyes and see Terrell with a pained expression.

"I didn't mean to jump, I'm sorry." I say looking down at my hands in my lap. Terrell's hand comes into my lap and lightly squeezes my hands with his big warm one. I look at him with tears forming in my eyes. He leans in with his other arm and pulls me into a side hug and just holds me. I shove my face into the crook of his neck feeling the tears spill from my eyes and he holds me.

"Come on baby girl, we need to get you inside." I nod my head as he opens his door to get out then walks around the front of the SUV to my door opening it.

I hesitate on whether or not I could trust my legs to have enough strength to keep me up. But instantly Terrell takes me into his arms closing the door with his foot.

I tuck my face into the crook of his neck hiding from everyone in the hospital. I am aware of how dirty, gross and bruised I was.

I'm surprised how Terrell is handling the stench. Because I can smell it and it makes my stomach churn.

I feel us walk for a while and then stop, I look up seeing we are outside a wooden door. He shuffles my body weight into one arm and uses the other to knock on the door.

A man in blue scrubs opens the door with a warm smile on his face and welcomes us into the room. He closes the door once we are inside.

The man's smile dropped as he looked at me in Terrell's arms.

"Oh my what has happened, Mr. Terrell?"

"I found her like this, Jean. Can you help her?" Terrell's voice was sharp and authoritative.

"I'll need you to put her on the bed here." He gestures to the hospital bed beside us. Terrell walks over to the bed to put me down but I cling to him with the little amount of strength that I have left.

"Please. T, don't leave me." I whisper looking into his eyes.

"Baby girl I'm not going anywhere, I just need to make sure you're okay. I won't leave you, I promise." Terrell reassures me as he lays me on the bed. I wince when my back touches the cold sheets. He leans forwards and kisses my forehead. "You'll be okay." He whispers in my ear. He walks over to a chair and pulls it over to the side of the bed and grabs my hand holding it tight.

The doctor walks over pulling his latex gloves onto his hands. He pulls a stethoscope out from around his neck, looking at me with a sort of kindness in his eyes.

"Okay, Grace, I am Doctor Jean Morgan, I knew your father and helped him many times. He always told me about you but I never got the chance to meet you. I wish it wasn't under these circumstances that we are finally meeting. But I'll do everything in my power to help you get back to a healthy state. I'm just going to put this on your chest a little under the blanket okay?" He asks as he smiles at me. I nod my head looking into his blue ones. He reaches forward and places the cold metal onto my chest listening to my heart for a couple seconds.

" Okay I wanna check your lungs, so I'll need you to sit up so I can put this on your back." He says as he steps back allowing me space to move. I look over to Terrell who stands up and helps me sit up. Dr. Morgan then walks over and moves the blanket down so he can get to my back. Again I feel the cold metal touch my skin.
