Chapter 5: Goodbye

Unrelated information for the chapter: Dream is taller than Tommy/ Tommy has to look up a little to see Dream in the eyes

(To Pov) Dream stared at him. Why does he think so long? Maybe I shouldn't have asked him. Maybe he doesn't want to be friends anymore... Regret plagued his mind as he stared at Dream desperately waiting for an answer. Finally, Dream answered, "Of course!" Tommy heaved a sigh of relief, clearing his lungs of a breath he didn't know he was holding.

"Pog!" Tommy smiled and hugged Dream tightly. Dream took a step back because of the sudden weight that hit his body. Dream gently ruffled through Tommys hair "No one will be safe." He looked up and smiled "No one."

Tommy let go of Dream. Both of them stood awkwardly in front of each other not saying a word. Tommy couldn't stand that silence  so he was the first person to say something "So... what do we do now? We can't stay here, right?" "You could come back home with me." Dream answered. Tommy looked at him puzzled. "Back to l'Manburg?" Dream laughed a little then answered "Of course not, you idiot! Back to my home. Did you think I was homeless?" Tommy shifted a little while he answered "Well... I never saw your home so..." Dream started laughing which soon turned into a wheeze. He is a living teakettle and his laugh is very contagious. Tommy laughed with him and soon they both sat on the ground laughing and wheezing.

The sun has long since set and the moon had risen over the sea. The stars sparkled a reflection on the water so it seemed as if you could catch one in the blink of an eye.

The boys stopped laughing and sat on the beach watching the stars. Dream looked at Tommy " Do you want to travel tomorrow morning or in a few hours? I would recommend traveling tomorrow but it's your choice." Tommy looked at his feet, thinking. "I wanna leave as fast as possible." he stated. "Ok! So go and pack everything you need in a backpack. I'll wait for you at the portal." Dream stood up and held out his hand to Tommy to help him stand up. "I can stand up alone, dickhead." Dream shrugged his shoulders and laughed as he walked to the portal.

Tommy walked to his tent and got his backpack from under the bed. He took some shirts and stuffed them into the backpack not caring if it was tidy or not. He took the framed picture of the Queen and put it in carefully. My favorite woman. He took some more important stuff and looked around in his tent. Hmmm, have I forgot something? As he looked around he spotted something.

His heart aced as he picked up the compass. He tilted the compass and looked at the inscription. 'Your Tubbo' Tubbo... Rage filled his heart as he thought about his former best friend. He betrayed me. Deam had convinced him that every other person had betrayed him. Dream was the one that poisoned his thoughts but Tommy was too young and naive to notice that. 

"Are you ready?" Tommy jumped as Dream stood next to him. "Y-Yeah but I don't know what I should do with this." He opened his hand and revealed the compass. "I know exactly what to do. Put it in your pocket and follow me." Tommy looked at him puzzled but followed him without hesitation. As they reached the portal Dream stopped and looked at Tommy.

"We have to blow this place up." he stated. "Ok. But why?" Tommy asked. "We have to fake your death. If you'd just disappear it would look suspicious therefore we'll blow this place up and make it look like you killed yourself. Then you'll write a note and we get the fuck out of here." Dream answered. Tommy smiled and nodded in acknowledgment "You do have 500 IQ. " he laughed " But do you have enough TNT?" Dream walked to a chest and opened it. "Is that enough?" he smiled as Tommys eyes lit up when he saw the huge amount of TNT. "Definitely."

The night was silent except for the small whispers and the sound of TNT being placed. They placed the TNT and connected them to activate them all at once. "Should we press it together?" Dream asked pointing at the button on the obsidian wall. They had built an Obsidian wall to protect themselves from the explosion. "Sure!" Tommy smiled and put his hand on the button. Dream followed his example and saluted. Tommy did the same and started a countdown. "5,4,3,2....1"

Everything was silent except for a small hissing sound.
