6 months after...

Bold : Mew   Italics : Gulf

Emma and Ethan I really don't mind you guys playing during lunch break, but you are not returning home once again with an unfinished lunch box, you understand.
I and your dad are really putting our best efforts in making them so no dumping in trash bins, everything goes straight into that little tummy of yours.
" Papa you are just being like dad. You are not fun anymore." Said Ethan.

Yes Ethan in the past 6 months I found out parenting cannot always be fun... See buddy I am always your friend but at times like these I prefer being your father.
" But you love us, and we love you too". Ethan said teasingly, but both of them knew he was also stating a fact.
Gulf smiled at Ethan,  for him this is the best phase of his life.
He had a family, he was a father and being one isn't an easy job. For the first time he never complained about waking up early in the morning, which ofcourse came as a shock for his family and Mild.

With Mew beside him, he found it easier to adapt. Making meals, helping the twins with studies, playing with them all became a part of his daily routine just like Mew's.
Princess are you not feeling. You had been quiet the whole time and that's not like you.
"Dad can I stay at home today. I am not feeling myself. My legs had been aching all day, may be it's because I danced too much. "
Ethan it seems like you have to go alone to school today.

Princess, how about I drop you at mom's place on my way. You just need to bare with her feeding you all day.
Yes your papa is right. We can't let you stay alone when you are sick. One more thing if at all your grandmother offers to pack dinner for all of us, don't refuse out of modesty. You see, I am kind of lazy to cook tonight.
" Dad don't you think it's wrong. Like she has to do it alone."
You are not wrong Ethan, okay then it's decided you are helping me make the dinner tonight.
" Emma just tell grammy that I want to have pasta for dinner."

Gulf just sat there enjoying the scene. Their breakfast and dinner were always filled either with some serious talks or these cute little fights. He discovered an entirely new side of Mew. He became more cheerful and carefree, but he still continued to be an amazing dad and lover, but now it felt like he was on a journey of rediscovering himself.

Talking about sex life, things changed as Mew gained experience, vanilla was long forgotten. Gulf's fans found it an interesting hobby counting the hidden hickeys, no matter how hard he tries, occasionally he gets caught limping and that was all that needed to get him trending. Mew found it as an appreciation for his hard work and talents in bed.

Mew and Ethan had already left for office and school respectively, whereas Gulf had a late morning appointment. He thought of checking on Emma.
Baby.. How do you feel now. Oh! My God. Why are you crying? Are you in pain? Do you want me to take you to doctor.
The litte girl was lying down clutching her  abdomen.
" Papa can I... talk to Grammy." Gulf nodded his head.
Mom Emma is not feeling well. I don't know what to do, she want's to talk to you.
"Gulf stop panicking will you. You are going to get her worried to. Just let me speak to her. "

Gulf could only see Emma replying a few yes to his mom. She handed the phone back to him.
" Gulf if I am not wrong she has got her first menses. I know you know nothing about it. Grace would be there soon, untill then just stay with her."
Gulf soon called Mild to cancel all his works for the day. He might not know what to do at this moment, but he decided he was not leaving his baby girl alone.

Baby you need me to do anything for you?
"No papa, there is nothing you can do about this."
Those words hurt him bad. The mere thought that he could do nothing to help her made him frustrated. He waited impatiently for his sister to arrive as he sat beside his princess.
Gulf left the room as Grace arrived. For the first time in  six months, he felt he failed as a father.

" Hey! It's alright. This happens to every girl bro. She will get used to it. It's not like she have a choice. You want it or not, you must tolerate it every month. " Grace said.
You mean my princess has to go through this every month and there is nothing I can do about this.
" Yes Gulf. Ofcourse there are things that you can do to make her feel better. "
Gulf very keenly listened to his sister.
Grace knew Gulf wouldn't feel better unless he himself does something for Emma.
Gulf entered with a hot bag into Emma's room. Grace had already changed the bed sheets.
Baby phi Grace said you would feel better with this. Common let's just give this a try alright.
Emma slowly fell asleep as the hot bag gave her relief from cramps.

Meanwhile Grace already informed Mew and as expected he was at home within minutes.
Grace how is she?
" Phi Mew it's just her first period. There is nothing much for you to get tensed. If at all someone is not alright , then it's Gulf. You really need to talk to him.
I am leaving , feel free to call anytime you need me.
Thank you Grace.
"No don't.She is my niece. Okay Bye."

As expected Gulf was in the twins room as Mew entered.
It's sad phi, I just came now and they are growing fast. We just have a few years to keep them by our side and one day we need to set them free. I don't want them to grow.
Gulf could hardly control his tears as he spoke. Mew held him by his waist. How about we talk in our room and let her sleep for sometime.

Now tell me about all that's troubling you.
Phi.. I didn't even realise she was not alright. She couldn't even tell me what was troubling her. May be if it was a woman in my place, she would have realised what was Emma going through and even princess would have found it easy to talk with her. I failed her phi.
Mew patiently listened to him. He knew how Gulf was feeling because  at some point in his life he was there too.

Gulf, first never say this again. You are a great parent, in fact you are better than me. You learned things that I took more than ten years to learn. Listen parents are not walking talking encyclopedia. We are allowed to make mistakes too. And yes you are right, may be if it was a woman things would have been better. But that doesn't make neither me nor you a failure. Yes they are growing and this is the time they need us the most. The fact that they have two fathers is never going to change. What we need to do is to make them realise that they can talk about anything under the sky with us. Parenting is one such school that you can never graduate from. We got to learn more. In the next three years we need to learn to deal with two rebelling teenagers, start dealing with Emma's boyfriends and so on. Now I want you to stop looking down on yourself and stay strong by my side in this...... We may not be the world's best parents  Gulf but we are doing our best.

Mew held Gulf's hand the whole time he spoke. Later he leaned forward to place a gentle kiss on his forehead. It was an act of assurance, to let him know that they would make through this too. Gulf hugged Mew tight resting his head on his shoulders. Right now he needed it the most. Mew was the solution to all his worries and for Mew, Gulf  was his energy booster anytime he feels down.

It's about a month since my last update. But I don't know why I couldn't write a single word during the whole month. Nothing came to my mind. No inspiration at all. It was just yesterday night , things flowed again into my brain. Don't know why my brain cells planned to get reactivated again. Hope you all like the new chapter. 🙂🙂🙂
