Davina, her brothers and dad have now been home from America for about 2 months. She finally finished decorating her room and got everything unpacked.

Nothing special about her room because most of her time will be spent at Hogwarts but she still wanted a piece of her here for her dad and brother Mitchell while she was away.

She starts tomorrow and she’s currently finishing packing her trunk so that she doesn’t have to do it in the morning. She’s already been to Diagon Alley and it was an experience to say the least.

**Flashback**

Davina, Connor and Alec just used floor powder to get to Diagon Alley. Their dad and Mitchell didn't come with them, they both work for the ministry and since they came back their dad has been really busy with work and Mitchell just started since he graduated before they left America, so Davina and her brothers said they would all go themselves to save him the trouble. Unfortunately but not to anyone’s surprise their dad did not like that idea. He insisted that the kids were to go to the leaky cauldron and meet up with one of his old friends.

Their dad’s friends were what helped him get through what happened with Davina’s mother and helped raise her and her siblings. Due to it being so long ago she couldn’t remember much but her and her brothers did send letters back and forth with their son, well her brothers mostly did but that's beside the point.

Davina, Connor and Alec got there early so they could get lunch but that didn't last long before 2 people came up to them with big smiles on their faces. An older man around ages with Davina’s father and a young man just older than her brothers.

"Can we help you?" Connor asked to the beaming older man. It was a bit unsettling, though there was something familiar about them.

"Amos?" Alec said squinting his eyes like it would help him remember. Glancing to the young boy Davina’s brother’s face beamed as he stood up quickly, "Cedric? So that's who dad sent"
Davina looked at them not remembering anything and Connor just sat there confused and she could see the penny drop in his head as he jumped up and attacked Cedric like they were brothers, which she suppose they were for a while but it’s been years.

"Alec, Connor, Davina! My, my you’re no longer babies are you?" Amos inquired looking between the 3 of the siblings smiling.

They all sat for a while talking and catching up until it was time to get their books, as they all headed to flourish and botts to get the books for school.

Arriving at the shop it was fairly quiet but Davina supposed everyone was more organised than her and had gotten them earlier in the week when the letters first arrived.

Walking around looking down at her list Davina didn't see where she was going and bumped into a young boy, he looked as lost as she was.

"Oh, sorry" She began to apologise at the boy she almost knocked over. He was quite a scrawny boy with strawy, brown hair and big round glasses.
"Don’t apologise, my fault" he says fixing himself and looking up at the young girl. Davina stuck out her hand for him to shake "Davina Davis, 1st year. Nice to meet you" he hesitated for second but grasped her hand shaking and introducing himself
"I'm Harry, Harry Potter. It’s nice to meet you, I'm a first year too" he has a bright smile on his face which made Davina smile as well.

Too busy caught up in fixing herself and getting the rest of her books she never even acknowledged who she had just walked into until she was paying for her things with Connor.
"Oh, my, Merlin" the young girl exclaimed turning and looking up at older brother. He looked confused as always and gave her a questioning look.
"I was too busy getting my books I bumped into someone and I greeted them he's a young boy same year as me but-" she said rather fast
Her brother grabbed her shoulders and shook her pulling her out of her rambling
"Breath sister" he says.
"Basically I just ran into Harry Potter and I only just realised" exhaling a breath she stood with shock written on her face. The brother’s jaw dropped at the mention of this and Davina couldn't help but laugh at him. Was not appreciated.
