1st year - Chapter 5

As they all gathered around, Davina heard the most annoying sound she could ever hear,

"Did you see his face. Maybe if the fat lump had given this a squeeze he would have remembered to fall on his fat arse" Mafloy said as he held Neville's rememberall, before Davina could but in Harry did it for her stepping up to the boy
"Give it hear Malfoy" Harry said reaching out his hand
"No, I think I'll leave it somewhere for Longbottom to find" as he said this he mounted his broom and flew into the air "how about on the roof? What the matter Potter, bit beyond your reach?" He said turning back to face them all from the air.

Before Harry could do anything Davina stepped up to her broom and flew into the air to meet the grease ball "maybe, but its not beyond mine Daddy's boy" as she came level with him she heard a commotion down on the ground and then seen Harry flying up to her and the boy.

"Give it here Malfoy or I'll knock you off your broom" Harry said in a way to serious tone that only made the girl snigger, apparently neither of them liked that an both glared at her.

"Is that so?" Malfoy said as he tossed the ball and began catching it over and over
"You know Malfoy this is getting boring, are you going to do something or not?" Davina asked crossing her arms, genuinely bored of this 'fight'. Harry went to grab it but draco spun around his broom and then held it up taunting Harry.
"Have it your way then" he says as he threw it over to the castle.
"Harry go grab it, I've got the grease ball" she said to him.

As he flew over to catch it, Davina kept her attention on the the blonde prick in front of her. He tried to fly away but she moved infront of him then spun flew around him trying to make him dizzy, it seemed to work has he lost the grip on his broom and began to fall while screaming. waiting a few seconds to think whether she should catch him or not she began to fly down. Davina grabbed his arm and pulled him onto her broom before descending down to the ground.

As she got off her broom she noticed Harry standing beside McGonagall who stood with her arms crossed and tapping her foot.
"Follow me Miss Davis" she said spinning round and walking away.

Davina dropped her broom and began to walk away with her and Harry but turned around and gave a little curtsey to the group as a 'your welcome for the entertainment' this caused some of them to laugh a little.

As they made their way through the castle McGonagall stopped and told the 2 first years to wait. A few moments later she came out the classroom with an older boy
"Potter, Davis. This is Oliver wood" Davina returned the boys smile before McGonagall went on
"Wood, I have found you a seeker and another chaser" she couldnt say anything her voice was now non existent. It seemed that Harry was the same way, probably because he wasn't sure what quidditch was.

A few hours later Davina was walking down the hall talking to Harry Ron, and Bekki.
"Seeker and chaser, but first years never make the house team, you two must be the youngest quidditch players in a-"

"Century" she and Harry joined in
"Acroding to McGonagall" Harry finishes Davina kept walking and now the 2 Weasley twins were behind them.

"Hey well done Harry Woods just told us" they congratulate Harry but not Davina, she cleared her throat and they stopped
"Ah yeah, suppose congratulations to you too" they said
"Fred and George are on the team too. Beaters" Davina laughed a little at that knowing it would rile them up.
"whats so funny" Fred asked her

"Well aren't beaters supposed to be, you know, strong?" She asked, it was too funny not to stop. They mocked a pain in their chest as their face contorted into a sad expression
"We are strong thank you very much" George said getting defensive, she laughed and told them to prove it then. Without a word Fred gave George his bag and walked over to her, without a chance to even think he lifts her over his shoulder,

"Ahhh, Frederick Gideon Weasley you put me down right now or I will owl your mother"

Without hesitation he put her down and backed away,
"You wouldn't dare?" He says backing up to his twin with fear in his eyes. Davina just smirked and crossed her arms
"Try me" she said.
He put his hands up in defence and she started to laugh with the other 2 Weasley's, Harry and Bekki.

Davina and Bekki walked away to go study but didn't get very far before Bekki spoke up
"What was that?" She asked smirking at the other girl, Davina gave her a quizzical look as she explained
"With Fred before, you were blushing-"
Before she could finish talking
"I WAS NOT" Davina stopped and yelled, now people are staring

"What are you all looking at?" She ask them and they quickly walk away. All Bekki could do was laugh. They both made their way to the library and sat down at a small table and they both pulled out their potions homework.

It didn't take Davina long to finish it so she helped Bekki hoping that they could get out of here soon. As they were packing their things away Harry came in and walked up to them.
"Wood wants us to meet him tomorrow outside where we had out flying lessons so he can teach us, well me" he says, she looked at him and nod before the 3 of them left the library.

The next day Davina, Harry and Oliver were walking out to the grass. Davina was walking behind both the boys while Oliver explains the rules to Harry. She didn't listen because she already knew the rules so she just walked behind them slowly. As they set the box down Davina came up behind it and waited for Oliver to finish explaining. He hands Harry the quaffle and Davina takes it next,

"This one is mine, well mine and the other 2 chasers, we have to try and get it through the hoops which is defended by the keepers" she gestured to Oliver while he takes out the next ball, she hands Harry the bat so he's safe, as Oliver let's it out, the ball came back and Harry hits it through the statue.

"You could be by yourself on the quidditch team, you wouldn't need anyone else" she said to him while laughing, that is until the bludger comes back and they watch Oliver try and wrestle it back into the box. He begins to explain to Harry about the snitch and Davina just watched the boy become utterly mesmerised by it. After some more explanation of the rules of quidditch Davina and Harry headed back into the castle to get ready for lessons the next day.

Its been a couple weeks since Davina got put on the team and its been a bit boring. Contstant classes, practice with the team. Her and Bekki have become really close with Neville, Seamus and a boy named Dean.

Right now she was sitting in charms class next to Bekki, in front of them were Hermione and Ron. Harry sat a few seats down with Seamus, Neville and Dean. Today they were finally doing the levitation spell they've been practicing the movement for a couple days and they were really excited, fair enough its only a feather but Davina still couldn't wait to do actual magic with her wand.

After Flitwick explains the task to them all, they all start, it wasn't difficult at all and Davina managed to make it float she even had it going around the room. She flew it over to the slytherin side in front of Malfoy, she had wiggled it in fornt of his nose and he couldn't hold back the sneeze and all of the papers and his feather flew off the desk.

Davina and Bekki couldn't help but burst into laughter at the sight of it, thankfully Flitwick was to preoccupied with other students to notice what had happened. To prove to the professor she had done it she flew it over to him and put it on his head, he looked around really confused and then Davina lifted it up off him and brought it back down in front of her.

The professor gave 5 points to gryffindor for being the first one to do it. As class went on Bekki managed it as well as Hermione after showing up ron which was really funny. Davina and Bekki heard one other student trying and before they could say anything they all heard a bang and looked over to see Harry next to a soot covered Seamus.
