Y/n's pov

I woke up on the couch early the next day, wrapped in Sugawara's arms. This has gotten normal for us, since I started living with him a week ago. Yesterday night we all slept at Hajime's house and had a lot of fun, celebrating that I wasn't going to move away with my parents and sister. As happy as I was that I got to stay, I was still sad about them moving.

I got up and then went to the kitchen, making myself a cup of coffee. I couldn't sleep a little longer, my brain wouldn't allow me. I looked at the clock to see that it was only seven in the morning. I groaned slightly, but then shook my head. It's probably a good thing that I was up this early today. It gives me time to think about what I was going to talk with my mother about and what exactly I was going to tell her.

I took the cup of coffee and then went outside, then started thinking of what I could possibly tell my mother.

'Hi mother that I ignored for two weeks, how are you? Hope you're not too mad at me and thank you very much for letting me stay here and not have much contact with you at all. It really is generous of you...'

Fuck no, I cannot under any circumstances say THAT. I so badly want to ask Koshi what he thinks I should say, but he's an idiot and will probably tell me to speak from the heart. Hajime will only tell me to thank my mother and try to go easy on her, and Toru most probably will say that I should cry in her arms like the drama queen he is grooming me to be. Gosh, why do I hang out with idiots?

Suddenly I felt a warm pair of arms wrap around my waist, and a head resting on my shoulder. All I could smell, was fresh linen and a really light smell of strawberries.

I turned my head slightly and then smiled softly, seeing a powdered sugar haired boy rest his head on my shoulder sleepily. He yawned, and all that went through my head was how he looked like a cute and sleepy kitten.

"Morning sunshine." Koshi smiled lazily and then hugged me a bit tighter.

"Morning sugar boy." I hugged his arms with my one hand, holding the cup in the other. I smiled and leaned slightly more into him as he was still hugging me from back. "How'd you sleep?"

"I slept fine, that is until you got up." He looked at my other hand and blinked a few times before realizing that I had coffee. "How'd you sleep, also, may I have a sip?"

I chuckled softly and then passed my cup to him. "Good, until I couldn't anymore."

He took a sip and them looked at me with slightly furrowed eyebrows, then smiled softly and sympathetically. "It's just a hunch, but is it because you're seeing your family again today?"

I nodded and then he set the cup down on the table outside. He pulled me in for another hug. Without saying anything, he started stroking my hair softly and gently rubbing my back.

"Y/n, you don't have to worry. She's your mother, she loves you no matter what. If you stay, if you go, she's still going to love you."

"Are you sure? Because I've heard of parents th-"

"Your mom isn't like that, sunshine." He kissed the top of my head and then let me go again, taking my cup and drinking some more of my coffee.

"I know, I'm just nervous about talking to her. What do I say?"

He thought for a moment and then smiled softly. "If you really don't know what to say, that's when you begin with small talk and then work your way up to talking to her about what's important."

"Honestly Koshi, I'm not sure that'll work, but thank you very much for your advise." I sighed slightly and then thought on it for a moment. I started thinking on a speech, and so far it was going well.
