Y/n's pov

I didn't really have the chance to talk to Iwaizumi alone this weekend. To be honest, I didn't think I was ready for a commitment yet. To add to that, I only now started high school and he's finishing high school this year. He has so much more to focus on than a petty little girl like me. He has to focus on his future. What he wants to become next year. If he's going to study at a college after school or not.

He wouldn't have time for me, and in the long run it's better I keep my feelings to myself.

"Y/n, time to get up." I heard Aisha open my door and open my blinds on Monday morning.

"Yeah yeah, I'm up."

"Oh, and there's someone to walk to school with you today. He's quite attractive." She said the last bit a little softer.

"What? Who?"

"Some boy... He said he promised to walk you to school."

Daichi? Oh yeah, he must have remembered about the offer I made last Thursday. I completely forgot he said he'd walk with me.

"Okay, I'll be there in a bit."

GOSH! OH MY GOSH! DAICHI'S DOWNSTAIRS!! I NEED TO LOOK BETTER TODAY THAN USUSAL! CHANGE UP MY HAIR?

"Okay, don't keep him waiting too long right."

"Right."

'I'm so unprepared for this.' Right then I face palmed and jumped out of bed. I threw on my uniform and did my hair a different style today.

I ran downstairs and immediately I locked eyes with him. The taller brunet boy standing in my house.

"Hey Y/n, I'm sorry I didn't walk with you on Friday, so I thought walking you to school instead was a good way of making up for it."

"Oh, uh... It's fine Daichi. You really didn't have to walk me to school today. Or at least could have let me know." I put my hand in my neck and slightly giggled. I wasn't going to shut him  down now- no, it's better.

Geez! I feel like Twice from My Hero Academia. Deciding on one thing but then my inside voice screams at me. Then changing my mind, but ends up with the first choice again because I knew it was better for him in the long run. Life as a teenager is hard.

"I should have let you know I was coming, you're right." He nervously laughed and I could see Aisha smiling in the kitchen. Maybe because she saw I made my hair into a new style, and for once, I actually used the perfume Mom got me from a work trip.

"Well, it's no use we stay on that note for long now. We have to get to school right? It starts early today." I slyly winked at Daichi when my sister wasn't looking and hoped he got the hint.

"Yes, we should get going. We don't want the principal blowing off his toupee with his head when he finds out we were late to class. Especially since our exams are so close."
