CHAPTER 7: Tutoring

Y/n's pov

"Please L/n. I'm begging you!" Hinata bowed and kept on begging. "Kageyama, you have to ask her if she wants to tutor you too! I'm not begging for you as well!"

"WOAH Hinata just wait!" Jeez, doesn't matter how many times I tried to talk, he'd interrupt it with another beg.

"PLEASE!"

"HINATA BOKE! STOP BEGGING AND GIVE HER A CHANCE TO SPEAK YOU MORON!" Kageyama karate-chopped the back of his head and pulled him back up to face me.

"I was going to say that I'll do it, because of the consequences. I know you won't be able to go to the training camp if you fail, so I wouldn't mind helping out."

Hinata and Kageyama's faces lighted up and then Hinata grabbed my hands and started to shake it rapidly.

"Thank you so much L/n! We really appreciate it!" Kageyama bowed slightly before tearing Hinata off of me. My word, this kid has energy! I only giggled and smiled at them.

"Okay, so first of all, you don't have to call me by my last name. Let's drop formalities. Call me Y/n."

"Okay, so if I can call you on your first name, call me on mine as well." Hinata said. Kageyama agreed and then went back to talking to Hinata about how he's always too loud or annoying or something. I didn't even listen to what they were arguing about this time. 

Those two are worse than Toru and Hajime! And that's saying something.

"BOYS!"

They both went silent instantly and looked back at me.

"Second of all, if I'm going to tutor you, no fighting. Don't show up late to sessions. Got it?"

"Who knew Y/n could be so controlling?" Kageyama asked Hinata.

"What was that Tobio?" I ask in a deep voice.

"Nothing ma'am!"

"Good. So you guys understand?"

"Yes Y/n." Hinata said.

"Alright, so we have practice from three to six. Hmm..."

I thought of a time table to set for tutoring. It would have to work for everyone and fit into everyone's schedule. School ended about two o'clock and then between after school ends and practice starts, we have an hour. Still not enough. We need to study after practice as well.

"Okay boys, here's the plan. Starting today, we'll be studying the hour we have free before practice, and then we'll go to my house after practice and study further there. I want to ask you about curfew's your parents put up for you, because that way I can tell you when study sessions end."

"Sounds good, and I don't have a curfew really. My mom just wants me to let her know when to expect me home."

"Alright, so Hinat- I mean, Shouyo, how late are you allowed to stay out?"

"My curfew is ten o'clock. Does that give enough time to study?"

"Yes, it's perfect."

I smiled at them and saw that they both were very determined to do better. Even if the fuel for it came from threatening volleyball, they looked like they both have better goals now.

"See you before practice then!"

They both rushed out of my homeroom class and off to where they were. After Tsukishima denied their request, I guess it's true that I was their only other choice. I didn't mind helping though.

After school, I hurried to the changing room and got changed. After I changed, I went to the front of the gym and stationed myself there. I got out my English book. I thought we could start with English, because that's what they both seem stuck on the most.
