It was almost morning at Cherryton Academy. The sun was about to rise in a few minutes. An anteater was placing flowers on Tem's memorial by the door of the room where he died. It's been a week since you passed away Tem. He thought.

I still keep expecting to hear you doing your vocal exercises in the next room. I can't help listening for it. The noise kind of used to annoy me. You were going to star in our play.

The anteater noticed a flyer advertising the new drama club play, Adler. It had the star, Adler, holding a sword with the words 'Drama Club' in bold letters with 'New Student Welcome' below.

He picked it up and walked to the herbivore mailboxes.

Rumor has it one of the carnivore students ate you. If it's true, that would be really terrible. "Mark!" Jack, the labrador called out. Mark. That was the name of the anteater.

"Are you going back to your dorm?" Jack asked. Mark replied with a simple "Uh huh." Jack lives in the canidae room. Mark then made his way to his mail, with Jack in tow.

"You have a drama club flyer." Jack observed. "I went and got one because Tem was in the drama club." Mark explained. "Oh. And those are the flowers Legoshi brought." "He did? He's a wolf isn't he?" "Yeah.

"He's in the drama club too." "Oh. Are you friends?" "Yeah, since we were pups. We're both canidae and our families live next to each other."

They were now at Mark's mailbox. "The drama club performance is on the 26th, right?" He asked, while opening his mailbox. "Yep. Are you going?" Jack answered.

Suddenly, tons of envelopes came flowing out of Mark's mailbox. Jack backed up a bit.

"Woah! D-Did all these letters come today? Your room sure gets a lot of mail!" Jack asked.

"Um, well, other rooms are getting a lot of mail too. All the herbivore students are receiving letters from home. Our families are worried because an alpaca was murdered on campus." explained Mark, letters in hand.

"Oh. Of course they'd be worried." said Jack.

Just then, an equidae student walked in and noticed Jack. "Hey, what's a dog doing in an herbivore dorm?!" He questioned, judgingly. "Relax, he's my friend." replied Mark.

"Sorry about that Jack." Mark apologized. "No worries. I get it, this is herbivore territory." said Jack. "Sorry, I just followed him in while we were talking. I'll take off now-" "Jack?" He was interrupted by the horse standing beside Mark.

Jack hummed in response. "You shouldn't share a dorm with wolves and hyenas. Even if you are all canidae. You should choose your friends more carefully." The horse said.

Jack stayed silent for a few seconds before smirking and nodding. "Thanks for the advice." Look who's talking!

~{Time Skip, Jack's POV}~

I was sitting by the window with my roommate Legoshi. We were in our dorm room. Everyone was sleeping at the moment. "You really like insects, don't you, Legoshi?" I asked. He had a ladybug on the back of his hand. He responded with "Uh huh.".

"Insects are focused on what's directly in front of them. And they aren't scared of you as long as you don't hurt them." Legoshi explained.

"Hm..."

"The drama club members are all focused on our club activities. I like that."

"Oh, hey! That performance to welcome the new students is coming up soon, isn't it? I'll come see it! But I guess... you won't be onstage this time either."
