The Wind Rises {Where No One Can Feel It Below} [Part One]

"Hey, this isn't your fur, right?"

"H-Huh?! Oh yeah! That. Uhm... I uh... went on a date with a really cute dwarf rabbit yesterday!"

Three animals were conversing on a bench. An anteater, an antelope, and a harlequin rabbit.

"Wait, what?!" The anteater, Kibi, shouted. "But don't you have a girlfriend?! You two are always bragging about being a rare species!"

"Hey! Don't judge me! I bet you wouldn't be able to resist her either! She's fun to talk to, she's cute, and plus, she's really hot!" Protested the harlequin rabbit, Kyle.

"Your girlfriend's really scary!"

The antelope interrupted. "Hm. Are you talking about the rabbit from the gardening club?"

"Yeah, do you know her?"

"Her fur is pure white. No spots on her or anything. She tosses and turns in when asleep, and cleans up before she leaves."

"You slept with her too?!"

"Oh, I see how it is."

  "She's... slept with other guys... uh... there are other victims then!" Kyle groaned.

Kibi scoffed. "She's a rabbit dude! And you're calling yourself a victim?"

"I wouldn't be too cocky if I were you." warned the antelope. Watch out. She'll swallow you whole and spit out your bones. Someone like that can be even more dangerous than a carnivore."

Kibi walked down the stairs, contemplating to himself.

"Are those rumours even true? That rabbit girl looks so meek and mild... but then, all girls are scary! Eh... I don't think she'd do it with a carnivore. Much less with Legoshi. Or Leon even."

~{Back in the gardening shed, Legoshi's POV}~

She's... undressing herself... w-what's happening??? Is... is this some sort of greeting?

"Your stomach is the same colour as your face. It's a beautiful cream colour."

I don't know how to feel about this. She then looks down my pants.

"I wonder how far it goes. That okay?"

"NO THAT'S NOT OKAY!"  I immediately pull my pants back up and re-buckle my suspenders.

She looked at me with an annoyed face. "Come on! I'm trying to set the mood here you know! This is why you came here, wasn't it?"

I was utterly confused. "W-What are you talking about?!" I stuttered.

"Oh... that's... you didn't come here for that reason..."

She turned away from me. She must be thinking about what happened. I move to the bed and grab a blanket, covering her with it.

"Uhm... here. You're gonna catch a cold... I've gotta go.... b-bye! OW!" I run out of the shed quickly, slamming my tail in the door in the process.

~{Haru's POV}~

Huh... that was weird. I guess he really didn't want to do it. Poor guy. I'm not surprised he ran off. Wait... is that the real reason he ran? He's such a large carnivore... why would he want to leave? He put a blanket on me before he left...

Heh. What a weirdo.

~{Leon's POV}~

As I wash my hands after planting the seeds, Legoshi bumps into me. "Woah! Hey Lego, you okay?"

He quickly apologized, but then left without another word. He just bolted out the door.

  "Legoshi, wait!" I try calling out for him, but to no avail. I sigh. I pick up the bouquet full of lilies, daisies and anemones and head to the gardening shed. I knock on the door and hear Haru's voice from inside.

"Come in."

I went in and saw Haru sitting on a bed, putting her uniform on. I raise an eyebrow at her. She sighs.

"Sooooo.... mind telling me why Legoshi ran off?" I asked.

"I uh... attempted to... do it with him... he refused though."

"Ah."

"Yeah... sorry about that." Haru said sheepishly.

"It's fine. Just, try not to do that again? Ever? Promise?"

"Promise."

"Alright. Bye Haru!"

"See ya!"

We wave to each other and part ways. I set off to find Legoshi, bouquet in hand.
